I can see an Explosions in the Sky vs LCD Soundsystem clash which would be super painful.

Hi @Yaniv297. Good work and pretty much agree with your guesses.
That's what I can't figure out either. Will they put AC on at the same time to relieve what might otherwise be a dangerous crowd situation (and that's why I don't think you can read too much into what happened last couple of years)?
Will it annoy AC to play to a small crowd (compared to if they play after Radiohead)?
Won't find out til May!

I agree with you about surely wanting to offer an attractive alternative to limit overcrowding but think that would mean putting one of the headliners on the Rayban at the same time, as no one from the subs that day is a big draw.
Last Shadow Puppets would make the most sense if they go for this strategy.
-
That would be great ZXCVBNM. Here's hoping...
I can see a lot of people camped out in the same spot for five hours+ on Friday. Gonna be a stamina test.

Really? Downvoting me for nigh every comment, month after month after month?
There are no words...

Does anyone have any thoughts on timings for Friday main stages?
9.45 Beach House,
11.00 Last Shadow Puppets
12.30 Radiohead
This the likely order/times? Who might play after Radiohead in the late spot?

Oh, cool. I'm also a cheapskate! (well, I tell myself it gives me more reckless spending money at the fest)
Try kayak and skyscanner but I'm guessing you've done that already

Surprised the times are 'rubbish' for a possible Madrid-Barca flight leg - there are lots of flight each day, no?
What do you mean by rubbish times?

Good tips, keem 'em coming!

What's the connection between Coronation Street and Primavera? Totally don't get it.

Grandaddy back playing again and at Green Man. What a great addition they would be.
-
Good call on TA. Have never seen Battles, will check them out.

Thanks beatkeeper. Not great being (wrongly) contradicted by someone you've gone to some trouble to help (I also checked that the purchase would go all the way through).
On a Primavera tip again, some acts don't translate well to a live setting. As much as I love some of Beach House's music, they're not the most engaging live.
Anyone have any tips for this year's bands that are better live than on record? Thee Oh Sees and Boredoms spring to mind...Who else?

How did you persuade your mates to come to sunny and cultured barcelona by the beach on the Mediterranean and hang out at gin bars and rooftop afterparties full of attractive latin women, whilst watching the best festival lineup in the world anywhere in recent years?
-
Totally not aimed at you - can see you're just trying to help a mate.
What an amazing place to have a stag!

I'm just being contrarian but I think any kind of ticket touting is unreasonable, even if not by initial design.
If you're a fan of music and you can't go, you can sell the ticket to another fan, make them happy and get all of your money back. Seems like a win-win.

Yes, get there early unless you have VIP.

Raval programme out. Pretty much nothing we didn't know already other than to partition out the Sunday. Wonder if Bradford Cox will play some Deerhunter songs on the Sunday afternoon.

OK, fair play but there are still so many reasons why they might not get booked. Maybe their agent told the organisers he thought Catalan food was terrible, maybe he didn't answer their emails because they went into his spam folder, maybe he lied about something, maybe he tried to play Benicassim and PV against one another to get them into a bidding war and upset both parties, maybe it was the other way round and the organisers upset the agent, maybe they dithered too long...who on earth knows what goes on behind the scenes...
-
yaniv297, couldn't agree more. Even they book Lush, every chance I won't be able to see them with the inevitable number of clashes.
The organizers have done such a brilliant job with the lineup, any criticism seems harsh.

I know for a fact this is not the case.
So why did they not book them, if you are in the know?

Why did the bastards have to book so many great bands?
