    They’re not teenage fans. That sort of manipulation and twisting words won’t do anyone any favours. If people truly feel this is wrong what he has done, then why do they need to twist it and exaggerate it?

    I’m not misreading it - but I think it’s a non point regarding this. There was no bringing anyone to Will here. So there was no females complicit in this. These girls were messaging him directly of their own free will. 

    I just think it’s best child trafficking abuse and unwanted attention between adults are kept very separate

    We’re talking adults messaging on instagram, meeting him in restaurants, attending their gigs. 

    this is not underage trafficking. I know you were making a point about the complicit aspect, but its important not to conflate the two.

    This seems to be pretty nuanced; can power/age difference really result in true consent? 

    Do you take into account things like one of the girls attended their gig on guest list after the incident?

    I feel like I need to be careful here because I know that the consensus isn’t with me, but IMO people know the situations they are getting themselves into. 

    He clearly has fucked up, he clearly has abused his status and influence - but what I’m saying is that’s rife throughout the whole of society, kidding ourselves  if we think otherwise & we’re the girls not in some way also speaking to him because of who he is?

    I’ll be attending Manchester tonight, for Regine if nothing else. I’ve read the pitchfork statements, he fucked up and clearly abused his power imbalance but (unpopular opinion incoming), I don’t think the allegations are as damaging as they’re being made out. I dare say unfortunately you’d probably find this with many celebs, using their wealth and status to get what they want. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not right but in every walk of life power balances are exploited. He needs to address his behaviour, but should this be the end of him and his music? Not in my opinion

    I’ve always hated the other stage -> pyramid via markets, so we always went via bbc introducing - I find this a much better way to get around.

    I also don’t do the nighttime stuff, we went to the theatre & circus field after headliners.

    Can’t say I noticed it being any busier than previous years tbh in regards to getting towards front. Stone circle also felt far less busy on the opening night than I remember ( because tipi and park now?? )

  18. Getting in with someone else's ticket.

    I refused one on my gate because it was just blatantly not them; they didn’t have any ID or even know their address on the ticket! So if you’re going to try blag it at least do some ground work. I refused because basically my theory I was volunteering because I didn’t get a ticket so why is it fair to the system to let people who pay ££ to get in. The touts will have an absolute field day the more confident people get that the checks are not worth anything.

    The other stage looks really different to me, is the field smaller somehow?? stage further out into the field? It just looks different from what I had in my head!! But could just me my eyes & memory. Looks interesting having the bbc introducing just around corner from pyramid too. Looks like it’s right where the big path was between pyramid and other, will the path now be a bit further along?
