Well, that Idles ticket buying experience was almost as bad as Glastonbury, actually started off worse in that I got a 'busy' page with a 20 second timer, then a couple of refreshes later, 'No tickets available'! No indication of whether any would be coming back on sale, and then a new date added, which didn't bode well, and also sold out immediately. Kept plugging away and got what I wanted eventually, but blimey - perhaps too many savvy T-Day veterans on there...

It does show how incredibly popular they are right now - should have been playing Brixton rather than the Electric Ballroom.

I was surprised when they first announced the tour that they were still playing relatively small venues. Probably one of the last times we'll get the opportunity to see them in venues this size if they carry on gaining popularity at the pace they are currently

  2. I know it's already been mentioned loads, but that 2015 set at WH was immense, I was pretty far back but the atmosphere was still electrifying - i did over indulge a little bit and was back in my tent, zonked by midnight but no regrets!

  3. Love the cribs, never disappoint live. As someone said above, great in 2015.

Top three albums is probably MNWNW, belly of the brazen bull, ignore the ignorant. Even though I think it's decent haven't got into 24/7 rock star shit the same way I have previous albums

Just had a look on twitter and it's all positive from what I can see, apart from  one person moaning about the crowd. I only saw one or two gigs in 2016 that were better than Pixies in Manchester; Saturday is gonna be fucking great don't worry. I'm absolutely buzzing for it.

Yea I saw them at the Hammersmith apollo, can't remember what year , maybe 2015? And they were fucking brilliant then, I'm still well up for it, was just surprised to see a couple of negative reactions!

You’re probably right, I’m fairly sure it chucked it down for their gig on The Downs.

Can confirm this. Rained heavily more or less all day with just one or two breaks, luckily I brought a poncho and still had a good time, Massive Attack were excellent.

I'd be well of for this tour in all fairness Shame they're 02 though, bit of a crap venue and bit of bastard to get to get to.

They've definitely done them in the past, I just did the Friday in 2016. Don't know at what point they go on sale though.

Yeah. Usually released about Apr time. They try to flog the weekend tickets first.

    Cheers ?

  7. forgive my ignorance, but can you buy day tickets at Download? Considering going on the Saturday when Slipknot are playing, Mrs is a big fan and although I don't like them to the same extent, having missed out on two separate occasions, keen on seeing them myself. Already committed time and money to EOTR so wouldn't be able to go the whole of this festival unfortunately aswell.

Yep, me too.  The logistics of the place blows my mind.  Just how do you throw a near-week long party for the better part of 200,000 people?  And keep them all fed and watered and disease free?  I mean, I've been a lot and I still can't work that shit out!

The inside of Michael and Emily Eavis' brains must look something like this. It' s the only logical explanation

  9. Hey all. Hope you're all having a good weekend. Possibly my first time at End of the Road in 2019 - like the look of the lineups in recent years and general feel of festival (after looking at some videos on Youtube), one thing i'm not sure of is when things close down in the evenings? Does it normally close down after headliners finish? Not a deciding factor this, but certainly something i'd consider when looking at which festival next year!
