Norwich still has Idles tickets if anyone lives near there

Managed to tickets for Idles in Camden. Friday looked like it had sold out even before 9am. Saturday sold out at about 9:03 I think (on seetickets) Crazy anything even remotely popular sells out in a flash these days.

Yep, got that same shit feeling about it. Missed out on the presale by minutes.
Yea I didn't go for the presale in the end for reasons I won't go into here, but looks like there was massive demand!

Going to try for Idles tickets tomorrow. It's got a distinctly Glastonbury ticket sale feel at the mo.

Just had a look on twitter and it's all positive from what I can see, apart from one person moaning about the crowd. I only saw one or two gigs in 2016 that were better than Pixies in Manchester; Saturday is gonna be fucking great don't worry. I'm absolutely buzzing for it.
Yea I saw them at the Hammersmith apollo, can't remember what year , maybe 2015? And they were fucking brilliant then, I'm still well up for it, was just surprised to see a couple of negative reactions!

Anyone go to the Pixies tonight in Camden? I'm going on Saturday but seeing a couple ofnegative things on Twitter. Mrs who went with her friend tonight said it was good but a bit underwhelming.

You’re probably right, I’m fairly sure it chucked it down for their gig on The Downs.
Can confirm this. Rained heavily more or less all day with just one or two breaks, luckily I brought a poncho and still had a good time, Massive Attack were excellent.
I'd be well of for this tour in all fairness Shame they're 02 though, bit of a crap venue and bit of bastard to get to get to.

They've definitely done them in the past, I just did the Friday in 2016. Don't know at what point they go on sale though.

Cheers ?

forgive my ignorance, but can you buy day tickets at Download? Considering going on the Saturday when Slipknot are playing, Mrs is a big fan and although I don't like them to the same extent, having missed out on two separate occasions, keen on seeing them myself. Already committed time and money to EOTR so wouldn't be able to go the whole of this festival unfortunately aswell.

There's a cider bar I like to frequent just to the right of the Williams Green stage. Rarely a queue, and does some nice strong cold ciders! The name always escapes me though.

Queens of the Stone Age please!
They played on 2011. It was brilliant
I'd quite like to see Prophets of Rage. Poor man's Rage Against the Machine yes, but reckon they'd be good fun.

My son absolutely loves it - he liked the Park area of Glasto so I assume it's similar to that.
If it has similarities to the Park area I'll be a very happy man. Possibly my favourite area of Glastonbury.

I've only heard great things about EOTR. Might be tempted to try to squeeze it in one year.
Yea 2019 will be my first year. As you say though, have only heard good things!
-
Seeing as I didn't get tickets this year, bought EOTR tickets instead ?

Yep, me too. The logistics of the place blows my mind. Just how do you throw a near-week long party for the better part of 200,000 people? And keep them all fed and watered and disease free? I mean, I've been a lot and I still can't work that shit out!
The inside of Michael and Emily Eavis' brains must look something like this. It' s the only logical explanation

That's great @jamesrfisher
We're getting tickets for EOTR now, already looking forward to it, shame we have to wait until the back end of the summer!

Hey all. Hope you're all having a good weekend. Possibly my first time at End of the Road in 2019 - like the look of the lineups in recent years and general feel of festival (after looking at some videos on Youtube), one thing i'm not sure of is when things close down in the evenings? Does it normally close down after headliners finish? Not a deciding factor this, but certainly something i'd consider when looking at which festival next year!

My first in 2011, I more or less took it in my stride (and had a belting time i'll add), and I've actually become more awestruck with the place in the following years. Don't know if anyone else had that feeling, or if i'm just weird!
Tour Announcements & Upcoming Gigs

I was surprised when they first announced the tour that they were still playing relatively small venues. Probably one of the last times we'll get the opportunity to see them in venues this size if they carry on gaining popularity at the pace they are currently
