The new Chemical Brothers makes my brain explode

Now, Pinkpop, without any doubt.

Ok. Someone had posted that he had ruled out Mumford and RHCP.
Also, I feel like I'm in the minority on music forums and I may get blasted for saying this, but I love Mumford and would be very happy to have them for Mad Cool
I agree, people are bored with their songs, but they are still undeniably a superb live act.

why did the official benicassim twitter account react to that poll by BenicassimFans if none of the bands listed ended up headlining, they must of known that would of been an obvious tease that would get people’s hopes up for one or more of The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and Mumford & Sons
Definitely... And knowing that Arctic Monkeys are silent, that The Cure seem to have announced every date, and that The Strokes already play Bilbao BBK and DMF, I'm not optimistic... Nevertheless Mumford and Sons keep on adding dates (All Points East recently).

I sing myself to sleep every night that the 12th will be composed by vampire weekend + foals + tame impala + the black keys
That would be really great at this point.

Any chance of a co being announced following that? Or do they always announce both co headliners at the same time
I think there's a chance.

Just looked back through the last few years of headliners and can't see any Spanish acts. Also seem comments on here that the majority of ppl that go are UK/Irish.
This is my first visit to Beni and I am seriously unimpressed with the line up.
Not true. Los Planetas.
Also, The 1975, George Ezra and Franz Ferdinand are Beni-headline-sized...

Believe me, it was not me ?

Even in September and October... I'm afraid to be a little bit disappointed if they only come back with The Black Keys... Realistically the lineup is super great but the wait was so long that my brain has already assimilated the whole excitement.
I saw some guys campaigning on Twitter for Frank Turner at NOS Alive. It would be a good idea ???EditEdit : he's not available

i’m expecting Noel or Florence but i feel like both those options are too obvious and the headliner will most likely be somebody unexpected and slightly disappointing
Proclaimers ?

A good thing this year is that there are good rock acts every day. Many great emerging artists too.

Amyl & The Sniffers, The Murder Capital, Nothing But Thieves, Denzel Curry and Parkway Drive are safe bets for mosh pits.
-
Why not just booking Pussy Riot? A better way to deliver that message imo... Woodstock's anniversary will do it.
-
Great studio performer and adapted to small venues, but not to festival main stages... Sagres' afternoon at best

They only did an announcement for the Clubbing Stage this week. I don't understand the strategy, if there is one lol.
Anyway, pretty sure Black Keys will headline...
They announce tour dates next week... I'd be surprised if NOS Alive isn't included.

I'm not sure they've done such a bad job of communication. They already have a lot of names, and 4 headliners released. Loads of other festivals have dropped news this week, so if we get another announcement by tomorrow then they're on track with everyone else.
It's better than what NOS are doing with their daily announcements of club stage acts, at least!
Not really imo cause Maribou State, George FitzGerald are international names and that's good to have them on clubbing stage. They didn't tease anything. A statement "Last names will be announced on..." will be super useful..

That also underlines the lack of communication of the festival... With a better way to announce names, we'd be discussing the beauty of The National's new single today and their breathtaking performances at festivals last year.

This forum is a city of troll. Imagine if we'd do the same here.. Mad Cool (and NOS Alive) due to its youth, is one of the only major festivals in Europe where nearly none of us have inside info on that forum... (we used to but some members are not active anymore) Not useful at all, and funny at the beginning, but please keep trolling /fake news/whatever away from efestivals

Gerry Cinnamon is someone who should be way down the bill, how the fuck he is so popular I'll never know.
Because he raises huge crowds in the UK...

That's a great one day festival spread over 4.
That's because you go to expensive festivals ?

I completely agree but The Black Keys at Glastonbury 2014 had neither, they seemed really bored and I think they even finished 10-15 minutes early. They'd be a fairly strong booking though when combined with Tame Impala or Florence. I've been expecting Foals to play before The Cure but I like the suggestion above of them closing a night.
True...

I think that we won't get a bigger headliner per say. I'd look at them as a bonus to Foals and Tame Impala
I want to see Foals closing a night at NOS Alive, a bit like TDCC last year, same time... Tge kind of acts we need, I mean, wild acts
-
But need entertaining bands like Crystal Fighters or The Cat Empire or whatever cause TBK don't speak too much..

Let's hope for a huge rock band announcement at Glastonbury tomorrow with other tour dates including Mad Cool and NOS Alive.
