Not sure if it's still the case but it used to have a rep for being a bad place to be in a muddy one
I think it has moved location since the last muddy festival. I feel like the southern part of the campsite could get muddy if it was a wet one.

Cheeky sods - of course hospitaility tix get you into hospitailty camping (which is nothing special).
Hospitality camping
Apart from the toilets (which barely worked) and showers (which were FILTHY)
I won't go there about the people camping there. We felt so out of place and uncomfortable. Some very entitled wealthy children, industry plebs, journalists, and people arriving on the Friday and then complaining there is no space to camp. I did feel bad for the staff having to deal with some of the situations I witnessed.
If I went with hospitality access again I'd choose to camp elsewhere. -

Response from Glasto - this competition is bogus.

Anyone fed up with eating mountains of cheese yet??
I've gone through 3 blocks this month. At least it's a (sort of) nice cheddar. Melts well. Kids like it. Husband seems to think that the cheese could be tainted with the urine of festival goo-ers so he's avoiding it 🤣

I've seen this floating around on socials...https://playfundwin.com/draw/win-vip-tickets-to-glastonbury?fbclid=IwAR3ld9yMxEFiwt3JyMjuystfwg0VLmP7z7OHDkgddYMt6cpPsdmaqNRjT98
Having read the terms and conditions it sounds a bit dodgy. You can enter via post for free, but I think that's something that all pay per entry competitions have to offer (you see this with the ITV and Radio competitions) Enter at your own risk! I'm sure it's legit but I'll stick to buying cheese. -

Has anyone on here ever actually won any tickets or know anyone who has?
I have won tickets in 2014 and 2023, both with the BBC though.

I’ve now had more luck winning tickets than buying them! 😯

Wel, I’ve learned an important lesson: do not eat a spicy curry the night before ticket day. Good luck everyone!

What do those with young children do with the young children to keep them out of the way during the Sunday morning ticket carnage? Last year we gave them chocolate and the TV but they must have sensed our anxiety and wanted in on the action.

It's a bit of a scary e-mail. I've received it too, but I think it's a general e-mail that has gone to anyone whose e-mail is registered.

You've won twice within ten years?
I suspect you're one of the folks here who's put in a lot of legwork to enter whatever is going, but still that's phenomenal. Both BBC Radio competitions. Not the main stations so I guess the lower entries was in my favour.
(I've entered various competitions over the last 10 years and won lots: money, other festival tickets, weekends away, and even my wedding!) I do put a lot of effort in but only for enjoyment and for the things I really want. I hate to sound silly but I truly believe in manifesting, and it seems to have worked for me. Just need to work on my lottery win now... -
If ticket sales, resales and working/volunteering doesn’t work there’s always competitions! I won tickets in 2014 and 2023 😊 there’s hundreds of tickets given away in competitions.

While we had a great time, after a six month old last year and a 1.5 year old this year, we are probably going to give it a miss.
While the kids activities are brilliant, we go to Glastonbury for the music and the fun, and we just can't have both.
Maybe when he's older and can enjoy the music more we will go back, but the next few years look like we would just be spending it in kids areas, and we may as well just go to soft plays, kids camps etc. instead
We found this. We just couldn't do both.
-
I'm glad you had a good time!
We didn't have such a good experience with ours (5 years and 16 months) and ended up missing a lot of the things we really wanted to enjoy. But I am glad we took them as it was definitely core memory material for her.
We will try again in a few years, but the next time for us will be child free 😅 -

Same with us, just absolutely drained.
Having a toddler in this heat is just another level of difficulty that you really don't need on top, heard a lot of vans pulling out over the night, I'm wondering if people had enough
Isn’t it just.
When my husband and I went in 2019 without children at least we could sleep during the day in a shady spot around the festival, and then party at night when it’s cooler, but you can’t do that with young children.Parenting a toddler and 5 year old in the heat at the festival has broken me.

Where abouts is this? Obviously we all have very different paths through the festival but I have found the opposite - never been in a dirty toilet yet which has blown my mind, and always had sanitiser stocked. Wild how different we can experience things isn't it!
At times the toilets in hospitality were in worse condition than some of the long drops I’d used.

Walked about all day today (41). Yes it's warm
Drink water and crack on no I way would I take rain over this
The site looked stunning tonight
I agree. My husband and I were discussing this yesterday. Getting wet/muddy is way worse than getting hot!

More cloud, please. Bring it down by 2-3 degrees. Then it’ll be perfect. This is too hot.
We are struggling with 2 kids in this heat. It’s relentless.

When was the last muddy one? Why can I only remember scorching sunshine and my blistered sore sun burn.
