I'm saying it's unfortunate that, because the average age of the Glastonbury audience is 38, the festival wouldn't book SZA as a headliner.

Excited now at the prospect of seeing SZA headline. Will believe it when I see it though.

All aside it's kinda exciting that this is the first year we'll actually be surprised when the headliners are released.

I do hope they book SZA, I just feel Glastonbury do have a track record of missing out on the fresher acts and booking safe headliners. When they do book them too it's usually ones that have played the festival before - look at Billie eilish, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran etc. I do think they're more likely to just get Foo Fighters or The Killers, Dua Lipa is their "risky booking" this year. It reminds me of 2016 when their "risky booking" was Adele, so they booked Muse and Coldplay, both who played the festival within 6yrs previous.

Lana was at a similar level last year for the average glasto goer as SZA, she headlined BST and a few other festivals last year just like SZA at the moment. Only difference is Lana was a bit more well known to a glastonbury audience with her playing before in 2014 and with her on the poster to play in 2020.

A bit like Lana Del Rey last year, who has very similar streaming stats too. Shame they didn't book her to headline either.

Yeah it's a bit like if they booked Guns N Roses instead of getting Harry Styles, The 1975 or Lizzo to headline, and then just put Lizzo in a sub spot instead. SZA is as much of a headliner as Lizzo last year.

I love SZA but I don't know why people are talking about her headlining. The festival isn't going to do it, they're more likely to call in Foo Fighters or The Killers again than get SZA to headline. I hope she plays and I'd be there if she headlines but she's not glastonbury headliner level. Billie and Stormzy both played Glastonbury before and had a rapturous response when they did. SZA would come out of nowhere for a lot of people. Please can they get her to sub though.

I think we are reading a bit too much into this panel, I think it's likely she won't really get questions about the lineup cause most people aren't as obsessed with the festival as we are! I think if anything, you'd think the lineup would come out before this panel so she can mention it freely. Though I doubt a lot of the Q&A will be about this year's lineup, and more about Glastonbury's history and it's commitment to gender diversity etc.

To be honest I had no reason for doing that other than it "feels" right for O rod to be Friday and Coldplay Sunday rather than the other way around. They tend to have their newcomer headliners on a Friday. Could easily swap them over but this just seems to feel more right.

Would love SZA to play, would be an amazing booking but she's a solid sub or Other stage headliner, not a headliner.

I'm thinking Friday the 8th seems to make the most sense now, sadly.
