Looks from that like it's the field used for the seaside stage that is inaccessible. Looks like the castle field is just the diversion route round the edges

You're right yeah looks like Seaside stage is gone. But the road they've put in at Castle is where the bars normally are.

Gunna be a different looking site this year for sure.

  2. Ok. Just saw something interesting apparently the Castle Field is now shut off and a road is to be put in place throughout there so I assume there is no longer a Castle Stage hence why there's no mention of Castle headliners.

    There won't be any.

I assume they will try and make the Seaside Stage the big second stage then.

Would be strange to have 2 younger acts on the Sunday as headliners.

It really would, maybe they will put someone older of fairly decent size headlining seaside stage?

Someone like the size of The Proclaimers. I know they're at IOW but similar to that. Put Adam Ant on there!

Looking at the poster (and previous) plus that interview…. It’s either Bastille and Anne-Marie as castle headliners or they’ve not been announced yet

That was pretty much my thinking. The interview seemed to point to Bastille being up against Nutini. That would really work for me

I have a feeling it is Bastille and Anne Marie now.

But if Suede are indeed subbing Fender. Why are Nothing but Thieves placed above them on the poster? Cus you would think Becky Hill would play under Anne Marie.

Also the way he's talking about Friday, it makes you think Castle stage is going to be running that day as well. Maybe it is this year?

Just listened to Andy on Express FM from Tuesday morning on their website.

Didnt say too much but he did say,

Been working on Sam Fender for years and it finally fell this year. They expect his day to sell out how he's so current and is big at the moment.

Paolo Nutini approached them and asked to play, TRNSMT is his only other festival and is an English festival exclusive.

They expect Friday to sell out quickly when they do the next announcement. Wonder who that is then in the TBA slot.

Spoke briefly on the comedy, mentioned beats and swing, acoustic stages and that if you don't like some act on one stage you'll find something on another.

Didn't mention Castle Stage at all or that it's to be announced. Didn't talk about early afternoon acts which I was surprised he didn't say it's the strongest they've had I thought he would defo say that.

Said that they learnt a lot during the pandemic and festivals that didn't go ahead and carried their line ups over kept the line up and wouldn't share any acts that they asked for. Hmmm. Said about learning things during pandemic a lot. I get the impression moving forward they're going to tie more acts to exclusives and not share.

Didn't really say anything else. Only was on for about 5 minutes and the radio host kept talking about acts from the December announcement weirdly enough. Bet that annoyed him.

Just re listened and he said about Friday there's a lot still to be added to Friday and when we announce that we expect a quick sell out.

And when talking about Nutini he said there's also Bastille and Kulashaker if you want something different, there's a real depth.

So is he saying they are on other stages at the same time or just those were the first two artists who came to mind when he was trying to think of something different to Nutini and they are just on the bill that day. I wish they would just have been clear about it.

So Anne-Marie has been announced as one of the headliners for Big Feastival.  Rag N Bone Man and Nile Rodgers & Chic we’re there last year too.  So going by that Anne-Marie is certainly Case Header or Main Sun.

Personally don’t think they’d have 2 younger acts headline stages at the same time so I reckon suede have got it wrong and they’re playing Castle sub whilst Anne-Marie subs the main stage

I just saw this announcement, so their headliners are Stereophonics, Anne Marie and Human League.

Human League headlining the Friday night. Maybe they might headline Castle stage at Victorious then?

Would certainly appeal to a different crowd than either of Sat/Sun headliners, id watch them over Nutini or Fender

so if thats the case who would fit in after suede to fin castle off? same sat if bastille are not head

Maybe (and this is wishful thinking on my part) Castle headliner on Sunday is Placebo.

Can't be announced yet due to Bearded Theory headline slot?

Imagine a top 3 of Placebo, Suede and Editors.

Saturday I can see OCS subbing Castle so someone suitable to them but I can't think of anyone who's about and the size who's available. I tell you who would be ace and attract a different crowd to Paolo, Pet Shop Boys. Actually they would fit above Suede as well.

  9. I gotta say though looking at that poster again, just how can they be subbing Common Stage.

Both Anne Marie and Nothing But Thieves listed above them and that would surely mean Anne Marie headlining Castle and they won't clash Anne Marie and Fender???

If Anne Marie is 3rd down main, why would she be listed higher?

Surely it's Suede subbing Castle stage

  10. It's a stonking line up but the Mrs isn't too taken with it. Viccy needs to whack a couple of acts that they have at Rewind fest on the bill and she would be grand.

But it's pop and indie landfill. Human League on the bill would go a long way.

So does it seem Castle Headliners are TBA. They usually either declare who is Castle headliner or they are TBA.

  11. Just now, sisco said:

    That’s who I’d love but they’re playing R&L

    Oh are they.

Maybe its a case of Viccy putting the pop act on main and the second stage being the indie rock act like when Rudimental headlined main and Bloc Party did Castle or Streets on main and Manics on Castle.

    Hoping for this, this year.

Two headliners and two "special guests" amongst those announced tomorrow. The special guests have both headlined small and mid sized festivals the past few years.

Surely thats Bombay Bicycle Club then as one of them. The others like Courteeners, Foals etc all would headline outright

so is it a clue a clock and a black grey flag and why scots? clock time? black flag in racing come in .green flag breakdown or just does it mean its time and incoming?

It's a Scottish Flag. Certain browsers show it as a black flag.

    Aren’t Snow Patrol Irish?

I’ll go for Biffy. There were some rumours of a “heavier” band ages ago and (prepares for abuse) I don’t think Gerry is big enough to headline a Festival of this size in England.

They're a mix of Northern Irish and Scottish but formed in Scotland.

Not sure Black Flag are suited to this festival

I thought it was dark green?

BTW just saw its exactly 200 days away today to the Friday of Victorious.

Official announcement should be 9am tomorrow but will be leaked by 8am I imagine, maybe even earlier.
