  1. Agree with others - major pain in neck getting in and out. You're memory of Glastonbury will be trudging up and down to the car. Plus - isnt the Glastonbury side likely to take you in and out of Gate B - which means you get the full horror of the Hill of Death every day?

We live about an hour from the site so (just about) its "commutable". Wouldnt dream of doing it though. Too much hassle, someone wouldn't be able to have a drink and we'd miss too much.

  2. Don't you feel that's a little weak? Arcade Fire would be a little on the small side, plus I could see Plan B as an Other Stage headliner; I think he has a little time to go before being a Glasto contender.

  3. Agree with everything above. Great for park and good view of site if you get there early enough. Try not to come in thru gate B though - from there its a damn long haul up to the Tipi field - especially if its muddy (as it was in 2011).

  4. Hate that hill of death - specially on Monday morning at 6 am after no sleep. Childbirth, your first Oliver Stone movie and the hill of death. The three things in life that our psyche's are programmed to forget how horrific they are so we keep coming back.

Tipis are good as long as it doesn't absolutely tip it down (No pun intended). Our tipi was set up on the hill (where its sloped up from the Park) in 2011 which meant the whole bunch of us went to sleep at one side and woke up every morning by the door. Showers were good though. Wasnt enough of them - but thats being picky.

  5. Excellent advice. Which is the CV park at the top of the hill by Gate B? Coming from Bath the last few years its the way we've come in. Might sound churlish in the light of those who didn't get tickets at all today - but could quite happily survive a year without doing the climb again.

  6. Right - stage one complete and tickets purchased. After years of camping and then tipi in 2011 - going the soft southern sh1te completely this time and bringing a hired CV. Now I'm getting all stressed after reading a comment about it being difficult to get those tickets as well. How hard is it? Surely to god not as difficult as this morning? I hate ticket day...
