  1. all I remember from his glastonbury set was him shouting "one two three four!" <cue another song that sounded exactly like the last one>

    Before every.single.song

  2. glad to see that even the Bruce aficionados can now recognise that he was gash.

If they'd been able to recognise that at the time instead of only two years later then my comments would have been accepted. smile.png

  3. I have walking boots, wellies and waiders and have used them all at Glastonbury. If I had to pick just one of those three now I reckon I'd run with the walking boots (if you'll excuse the expression). I've got Brasher Superlite boots which are like wearing slippers and don't let the water in.

  4. Have often thought about buying decent wellies - but have always ended up with the cheapish ones. How much better are the expensive ones - and what are the ones to buy? Russycarps blarts on about Hunters.

Why are they worth the higher price tag?

  5. For those interested in such things the Bristol Cider Shop on-line selection (where you order a box of different ciders) includes a bottle of Glastonbury Cider Bus cider and a bottle of Pilton cider.

Dunno what they taste like yet tho - ordered whilst drunk last week.

  6. I think the point I really learnt to stop judging others for how they enjoy Glastonbury, wasn't till 2010! We camped next to a group of younger people and the girls in the group were out every morning having a full make up class from the one that worked on a make up counter back in the real world! It went on for ages - all about how different products worked and what was good about them, as they shared their make up and got themselves dolled up for the day. They were exactly the kind of people who I would have previously passed and and tutted to myself that they had no idea what Glastonbury was about. I would have thought how they had no idea that it was all about letting go of all of those everyday constraints, and not being concerned with how you look.

Then I watched them turn up all over the site, roll back in at all kinds of daft hours, laugh together and with everyone around them for the whole week, making friends everywhere they went, - and they were the most Glastonbury people you could ever meet. If getting all their make up on at the start of the day was what enabled them to go off and enjoy themselves, and spread that enjoyment, the way they did, then who am I to judge that?

I know I will catch myself judging some other group at some point though - but I think the trick is to catch yourself!
