For the love of god please don't clash Thom Yorke or Idles with Bon Iver
I'll have nothing to watch at that point if they do.

Has there been any significant tributes for Keith over the weekend?
Chemical Brothers did one. Haven't seen any others, I might have missed some.

I can see The Killers being the "irrelevant band no one cares about anymore" booking this year.

Watching on telly it seemed like there weren't any massive crowds and the atmosphere was a lot quieter than usual. I know it always looks worse on tv, but the crowds just look flat to me.

how long until someone says the pyramid stage is cultural appropriation of the ancient Egyptians and complains about that too?
Don't give them any ideas lol.

Together Again, sold nearly a million copies in the UK.
I Youtubed it. Yeah I definitely remember that song. Maybe she ran out of time?

And at the end she didn't sing her biggest hits in the UK. lol
I heard "All for You" which I remember. What's her biggest hit?

The only time the mic is loud is when she talks, which definitely seems to indicate she's miming to me.

Seems a very lukewarm/subdued crowd too.

I was thinking the same ... I thought it was just me
It would be funny if the sound guy turned it off for a laugh to see what happens.

If it's not white people getting offended by it, it's people repeating what white people in media/academia have told them to find offensive.
I know black and Asian people who have experienced actual genuine racism. Not once have I heard one of them list a white person wearing dreads, or eating a curry, as part of their experiences. Surely "cultural appropriation" is a good thing given that there is a younger generation of white people who are more tolerant and open minded towards other cultures compared to how it used to be, but of course these people who want everyone to be in their own boxes and at each other's throats over something as trivial as race won't like that.
One step away from promoting racial segregation IMO.
Yeah 100%. None of my Asian friends are offended by white people watching anime for example, yet all I hear from other white people is that it's "cultural appropriation" if non Asians watch it. What do that base that on exactly? I thought we wanted an inclusive society.

Anyone watching? Definitely sounds like she's miming to me.

Well yeah that was kind of my point. The comments are such a blind attack and by some of them I really wonder if people know that glasto is even in England
I'm willing to be they're British. People who spend their lives on social media and read a lot of American articles about race/cultural appropriation etc and then start freelancing articles for websites so we start bringing over here too. It's a new phenomenon.

Cultural appropriation is the most stupid concept ever. There was a time when the only people who would get upset about white people enjoying things from other cultures were actual white racists. Now it seems that being open minded towards other cultures is the racist thing, while demanding that people "stick to their own" is forward thinking and progressive.
And the idea that it's white people "stealing" from other races and taking credit for the creation of the other races. How many white people who wear dreads would actually say "yeah, us white people invented this hairstyle"?
It actually boggles my mind that people think like this. I'm very pro-free speech but because of everyone's right to free speech, it enables people of low IQ levels to have a platform to spout utter garbage like this.
A lot of modern "liberals" are basically far right in their behaviour.

The Americanisation of British society continues. Never heard anyone over here mention "cultural appropriation" until the likes of Twitter and the Guardian started bringing it up.

This take has been done before and better tbf.
Don’t really get why peeps care about them being apparently middle class if their hearts and heads are in the right place and you agree with what they’re saying - Glastonbury is kept alive by middle class people like that. And it’s not like those naysayers are instead flocking to ‘working class festivals’ or rallying round ‘working class bands’.
I just don't like phonies, especially when there's hardly any working class bands around these days, except dross like The Courteeners.
Also their music is very generic third rate Fall, so I don't get the hype. At least if they were doing something original fair enough.

Music wise, I thought it was dreadful. But he enjoyed himself and put on a good show. Good for him.

GVF remind me of Wolfmother, who were bloody awful. At least there will be time to get booze/use the bogs I suppose.

LX factory is definitely worth a visit imo. Pretty cool during the day but also a really nice atmosphere for a few beers at night.
Added to the list.

They'd never do Glastonbury in a million years sadly, but hopefully Melvin will be on the blower to them, providing Axl didn't piss him off too much last time.
