That lineup went downhill fast with those two added names. 🤣

Royal Blood before The Strokes would never, ever sell out. It really needs another co-headliner like The Strokes.

@misterplow I didn't say it was my preference, just my guess. I agree that this would be very weak day.....

@Ken19What about The Chemical Brothers? They are free on Friday...but would then have to play two nights in a row as they're playing Open'er on Saturday.

Imagine Dragons show up in Canada a week later, would be a great pick for coheadlining with The Strokes but a band is rarely hopping this hard between two continents.....

Nahh, I think we can do without Imagine Dragons....

Surely that's more a sign that Editors are just huge in Belgium than anything else.

Yes of course. The Strokes are not really big here in Iceland, so assuming out of their popularity in Iceland they'd never headline. But bands popularity tends to vary between countries so I have no idea if they're a headlining material in Belgium or not....that's why I'm asking if we're sure they're headlining because I can't find anything that says they are.

...and I'd think Green Day, who have not played the festival since 2013 and RW seem to fit their tour schedule, would fit nicely headlining that Friday.

Yes they're headlining for sure. They also don't mention on their website that Pearl Jam are headlining and I am pretty sure it's the case...

Pearl Jam have headlined before. The Strokes haven't and I personally wouldn't buy a ticket just to see them....but having said that, Editors have headlined so who knows how big The Strokes really are in Belgium 😛

One of the insiders once mentioned that Green Day refuse to be part in co-headline constructions, which is why they skipped RW on their last festival tour.

And are we sure The Strokes are headlining? They don't seem to mention it on the website (the english version doesn't work so I'm using google translate)....

I perfectly agree with the 2 first sentences of this post, but I see Kendrick as a great headliner, probably the best one possible in the entire hip/hop world (according to me at least). It has also been said that his new album might be "rock-oriented" which makes me even more excited. I really hope he brings a full live band on stage, like he did during his 2015 tour.

I don't mind Kendrick, it was more of a joke or banter ;)   ....but having said that I'm really disappointed that Faith no More, one of my all time favorite band, is not headlining like they did so well in 2015.

Kendrick will be the last act on the main, so there probably won't be any Barn act playing. The last KlubC act will probably clash with K Dot (Agnes Obel or probably a bigger Barn head).

Think Gojira are a bit too small to actually headline the Barn. Gojira is a good band, but I think it may be a tad too 'hard' for RW. I think they fit better at Graspop.

They played GMM last year, they're semi local (french actually), they're probably the best metal band today and one of, if not THE best live band in the metal scene today.

....ahh, and Mario is with out a shadow of a doubt the best drummer in the world today! Having played GMM last year they certainly belong at RW now...

...and Kendrick Lamar headlining the Main Stage is probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard....but at the same time I think you're right and he will headline on main :(

@Ken19 & @Jazebel it makes me super happy to heard that their potentially is a co-head for the saturday, I have one question though. Is their any hope left for Gojira ? I thought they were nearly confirmed when that website  (I don't remember the name) said in 2019 that they would come at Werchter, but right now I am starting to feel like it won't be the case. A lot of the main stage slots are filled, and even though it'd be insane for them to be in the Barn I don't know if Werchter would do that. Any hope for this amazing band ?

Gojira in the Barn with Kendrick Lamar on the Main Stage would be ideal 😎

Indie darling day. Strokes, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, Foals, Haim, Angel Olsen. Heaven.

Not my type of music....and only four bands there I'd be really bothered to see, Pearl Jam, System of a Down, Faith no More and Gojira....maybe five with Pixies!
