Because lots of the people with info are elsewhere now is your answer

Yeah doesn't seem to be as many people with access to actual inside info as there used to be TBH.

🥹 This might be the best insult-compliment I've ever seen about Blossoms and I've seen a lot of them. Love them boys tho ☺️

😁 That black and white dog tooth number he wore at Glasto last year was something else!

They are bad. Not even interesting enough to be funny bad. Just grey and depressing bad.

At least with Blossoms the guys daft hair and weird trouser suits can raise a smile but these Courteneers guys are just mega turgid

I’ve put on Sky Arts expecting to see some Pulp from IoW but they appear to just be showing The Courteeners.

Same, but think there is a delay on it so showing pulp highlights much later.

Ill probably have hurled myself out of the window by then TBH due to watching the courteneers!

  5. I feel like we are in for some prime conditions down on the farm where we can all chill out and enjoy the vibes without having to sit on a bin bag or put on those wellies.

See you all up on the hill for some tremendous sunsets!

  6. Popped in to have a look in a building in the Common one yes only to realise we had stumbled across the big tomato fight.

Frantic scenes with people hurling tomatoes at each other in the mud.

Was pretty funny thing to come across mid afternoon!

It could be your diet at the festival. If you're eating lots of giant cornish pasties and no fruit/veg/fibre it's probably playing havoc with your stomach.

It makes me feel ropey as soon as i drink it on the first day which is why I think its the water.

I shall be seeking to improve my diet though and not just go to the sh*t places with no queue!

There was a point a few years ago that I am sure they added more Chloine to the water, infact you could taste it. Not so much now though it feels. Nightmare for you, hope you are ok this year.

Thanks! I've splashed out on a high end water filtering bottle, see if it makes a difference.

Bristol Water provide the water to the festival so there should be no issue.

Well that's what I thought, but it definitely gives me issues as in I'm fine when I walk in the gate and then stomach ache as soon is I drink the water!

Gonna have to stick to the cider this year who needs water anyway!😁

It's all monitored by the local agencies so really have no idea what's causing it. Are you sure it's the water and not something in the water bottle you're using?

I normally just buy a bottle of mineral water, drink it and then fill that from the drinking taps.

It is a bit odd I admit but im sure its the water as when I switched to just drinking the water cans last year I felt OK.

I'd say you know what the situation is, you can try the filter bottle thing but with no guarantees of not feeling bad. If I were you I'd probably just go with the cans option. that's what's good about Co Op on site at least!

I've just thought actually - do you live in an area with hard/soft water? Could the Glastonbury ones be the opposite so you're not used to it for whatever reason? I never knew there was a difference til I moved to a hard water area

Cheers , yeah I did think that but I live in Bristol which is a hard water area the same as Glasto/pilton etc

You should be able to find water bottles with in built filters that are used for hiking etc - try Amazon or camping shops - they look expensive but should do the job.

Yeah, might give this a try and see if it could work.

Im not sure what I would be filtering out that makes me feel ropey though!

Maybe some sort of additional thing they put in it but others have said it just should be the same as normal tap water.

  13. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has any issues with drinking the tap water onsite?

Now I know it is supposed to be just the same as the normal tap water with no additional things in it but it seems to have negative effects on me!

I get stomach pains and makes me feel generally rough. Before you say that might be caused by guzzling a lot of beer and giant cornish pasties this happens as soon as I drink the water up arrival!

So last year I ended up buying loads of little cans of water as they stopped selling the plastics bottles which was not ideal but alleviated any stomach issues.

Anyone else find this or have any ideas to help like some sort of water filter?

I live in the South West BTW so don't think its due to change in water hardness.

Don't really want to cart in loads of bottled water but worried about feeling ropey!

It's a fair comment, the marketing behind vapes (disposables in particular) is genius but equally terrifying and dangerous.

Hands up, I'm one of those who was sucked in. I wasn't a smoker - tried it as a kid like many do but didn't really see the appeal or like the taste, tolerated the taste of tobacco when mixed with something herbal but that was about it. Honestly couldn't tell you why I took up vaping 20 years down the line, but it was disposables that did it, and found that I do like nicotine (of course I do...its addictive after all!) and enjoy it much more in fruity vape flavours than I ever would with a cig. Now consider myself a pretty heavy vaper, especially when out partying, but don't think I regret it in the way I probably would had I taken up smoking or even stuck to the costly (financially and environmentally) disposables.

As somebody who works in a marketing focussed role, I wish some of my ideas had the same draw and success! 😂

Well if you think about it cigarettes were the ultimate consumer product. The delivery mechanism and dosage meant that once addicted you would keep coming back every few hours for another one! The problem being that if used as intended the consumer has a high chance of dying which is a bit of an issue!

Vaping somewhat negates the dying part so they are pretty awesome consumer products for companies to get people hooked on.

Similar to caffeine really, people think they enjoy various different coffees etc and they probably do but the reality is most people have a caffeine addiction and if they stopped after a few days the headaches and withdrawal would kick in!

Pretty mad really that you have two huge industries based on the natural coincidence that the molecular stucture of certain substances fit certain receptors in the human brain.

I quick smoking through hypnotherapy but am still addicted to caffeine and twitter for the dopamine hits!

  15. The many people getting addicted to vapes who probably wouldn't have necessarily started smoking is some of the dumbest sh*t I have ever seen!.

Far enough if you are using them to try to stop smoking but they are just leading to more people being addicted to nicotine and are marketed as a cool thing to try.

I say this as someone who used to love smashing in loads of cigs on a night out mind!

  16. Some I have enjoyed over the years.

Strummerville bar - large portions of spirits and nice campfire vibe

Cider Bus - Ginger Donkey Cocktails

Wine Bar - Tasty bottle of wine to get you back on track

Avalon - great for chilling in the day

Beat Hotel - For an afternoon sesh of strong generic lager

Bimble Inn - Good ales and cool late night bands

Tricketts - Top overall ambience and views.

Rum Shack - For the rums

Spike Bar - Not so much the bar but a cool meeting point.
