I just read a thread on the Glasto Chat Facebook page where a woman was asserting that there is a group of Liverpool based "hackers" who use "bots" to get in ahead of other people and people give them their reg number and pay them a premium to get the tickets and that is why there are so many Liverpool people there!

  2. All this piss chat has reminded my of walking out of the festival last year and seeing a big pile of piss filled plastic bottles that must have been retrieved by the clean up team to prevent it going in to the land. If you do go in a bottle make sure to empty it in the toilets the next day!

mate, that's incredible luck! happy for you!

I know couldn't believe it, must have tabbed back about 10 times to the reg number page when it was showing all tickets allocated and it finally hit the payment page at 9.24!

  4. Got in at 9.24 after grappling with the booking page for ages. Saw the see tickets tweet about refreshing if you see all tickets allocated and somehow got in after others were seeing sold out!

    Woooooo!

Saw them at the Fleece in January and they were unbelievably good

I was at the one as well, great show despite a few technical issues with the mics breaking!

  6. Was thinking about this recently and how it hasn't stopped raining since last July! The ground must be mega saturated.

There must be many new glasto goers from the last few years who have never experienced the joys of a wet and muddy one!

Recall folk on here getting on their high horses - maybe even going so far as to complain to the festival - about the tomato fight as it was food waste whilst people were starving in Africa.

I remember some comments along those lines!

It was quite good fun although there was one guy just wearing a pair of pink hotpants that everyone picked on and he got hammered by numerous tomatoes.

ate 6 or 7 tomatoes while I was in there so they didn't go to waste

Stop trying to be cool - you must at like them at least a wee bit!!! The Hell Stage isn't even one you can accidently just be at!

(I love them and I'm jealous. I think I'm only on 7....and that's been greatly purposeful!)

    I don't mind a couple of their tunes!😬

One of my glasto buddies is a bit of an Idles mega fan and I just go with the flow so always seem to end up where they are on.

I think the Hell Stage was because someone had persuaded me to go and see Gojira and Idles were on after, they were pretty decent to be fair.

So it's  become a bit of a running joke that I've seen them so many times but  not really my bag!

Plus I'm in Bristol so seen them a few times at smaller venues like Louisiana when they first started and then when they moved on to bigger venues like Colston Hall, Downs Festival, Marble Factory etc etc😁

there is a seperate system for villagers that qualify.

Good luck with current house prices.

Just had a quick look, yes a bit out of my price range. This one even lists free glastonbury tickets as the top feature on the advert!

Wells is very nice. Pilton is better though. No need to worry about a ticket then.

Do the Pilton residents have to register and buy tickets through the site today or do they get guaranteed tickets do you know?

    ..off to check Rightmove Pilton..

  11. I did have one a few years ago. Just got access to a separate bit in the middle where they had a few bars, some nicer toilets etc. There was also a bit where you could park that was closer if I recall. Met Seth Troxler and chatted to the Bath Rugby team before going back into the festival proper!

Anyone know if there is a refresh button on asus laptop. Just realised it is a new one since last sale and there is no refresh. F5 is screen brightness!

I've got one of these so just click ok the refresh button on the toolbar instead. (Circular thing with arrow)

  13. Went on the Saturday, always a good day out and I can walk home which is a bonus!

Nice friendly crowd with a good mix of people and the sun was out so all good.

Slurped on some powerful bright orange cider they were serving in the guest bar which was decent but didn't catch the name. £6.20 for a can of Thatchers a bit painful but i guess that is where we are at nowadays.

Look forward to see what they have on next year.
