  1. First thing I did when the lineup dropped was CTRL + F Foals. Are there any  other bands like them on the lineup, that I should check out?

  2. I'm not properly hyped for any of the artists this year, so of course three of the ones I'm looking forward to, Tame Impala, Interpol and Michael Kiwanuka, are playing at the same time.

sleeves MUST be removed (but this too has rules - it cannot be done is such a way as to look in anyway smart - usually this will be done with a penknife, blunt scissors or simply ripped off).

same goes for neckline, this too, must be removed.

also - holes and general tattyness - the more the better.

I've actually never considered the possibility of ripping the sleeves off my T-shirts.

With this new information I'm going in deep on YouTube:

  4. After the first listen the songs I really liked were Quiet Light, I Am Easy To Find, Not In Kansas (wow!) and Rylan.

Surprised how much of a backseat Matt took to the female singers on many of the songs. Comes across as a bit of a concept album.

It’s not a ban - you can bring your own with you and decant as needed etc - they just won’t be selling any at the festival, which makes getting mixers a little trickier as it used to be very convenient to just buy a bottle of coke, drink the top quarter and then add spirit as needed. Having to buy cans all the time and decanting them is a bit of a pain in the arse, and the cost will soon add up as you plough through them.

I thought the ban was just for water bottles? Can't imagine any kiosk people would bother showing up if they couldn't sell coke or such drinks.

  6. I'm starting to feel like I really wanna hear Plainsong and Just Like Heaven on the Pyramid stage.

It has to be said that some of their songs really hasn't aged well, what the hell is that sax solo during A Night Like This?

As the ever reliable Wikipedia states: Generation Snowflake, or Snowflake Generation, is a neologistic term used to characterize Millennials andGeneration Z as being more prone to taking offence and having less psychological resilience than previousgenerations, or as being too emotionally vulnerable to cope with views that challenge their own.

I stand by my statement, or have I triggered you...?

I think we've found our resident /r/the_donald user

  8. Worrying about a couple of training runs four months before a half marathon? What are you trying to do, break the world record?

You will be spending so much time on your feet. What you eat and drink those days will matter more than if you run or not.

  9. Just watched their Coachella set. A bit disappointing how identical it felt to the shows I saw in '16 and '18, and the two new songs don't really make much of an impact.

Hoping they will have a more exciting song to finish with other than New Person, Same Old Mistakes at Glastonbury.

That's mental!! People were hiding from the sun under sandwichboards!!

The rest of the days were bang on though ?

For some reason I have no trouble handling such heat. The other days were a bit too chilly and windy for my taste.

The regulars won't approve but that was as lively as I've seen that usually static field in ten years of going.

Ok, so I've only been going since 2008 but still, was a great atmosphere and a lot of fun.

Agreed, say what you want about their music but they know how to get a crowd going. And this was on the Sunday after a tough festival weatherwise

  12. According to Smirnoff and Spotify's Equalizer 17 percent of the artists I listen to are female, which incredibly enough puts me above the average. What Glastonbury is doing will open doors and make more young females become artists and start bands, which is more important than me being served the genres and bands I like.

No one can complain about the amount of or level of the females on the poster, when the males are proper bottom of the barrell - Hozier, Snow Patrol and Years & Years to name a few.

Anyways, many acts still to be announced.

Not so sure about that. I saw Thurston Moore play to the worst crowd ever and Katy Perry had one of the biggest of the festival last time.

Well, Katy Perry was one of the world's biggest pop artists at the time. Sheryl Crow has a cover of Sweet Child O' Mine as her second most popular song on Spotify, which has to be the lamest thing of all time.
