The lovely folks at BT have now published day splits and running order
So that new stage with Dan Donnelly opening it Friday morning is the equivalent of Glasto putting on a half-decent act to open its second stage? Marvellous! Will dig out my Country & Northern album.....

Made it, thanks to Yog. What a lovely little festival. A definite for next year.
Wasn't it just lovely? Thanks for 'advertising' yourself Grumpyhack, nice to have reacquainted with you for the first time since the Old Gits' Meet of 2011.

I'm there. Can't arrive quickly enough...

Having not been in 5 years, I've just discovered this used to be the lovely Tadpole Stage. Great line-up still.
But where has A3 (acoustic) gone on the official line-up?

See y'all at Ozrics and Syd Arthur and cheers for the heads-up on these few others

Mark was on the shrooms so he told us so could have seen anything in whoever he met. Saw Charlie in the Convoy tent with a bottle of vino and Jez in Crew Bar with John and a new baby I think.
Fair play to the Levs for getting out and about. Saw Jez in the Convoy tent late on, watching a fine folk act who turned out to be my find of the weekend, FFTP as I later discovered. Saw them at least once more, all by happy chance.
Yup, guaranteed good times at BT once again, thanks to those who keep on putting it on. Way better parking location and closer camping, no thefts heard of, and such a nice atmosphere. Musically not quite as much my cuppa as last year, but well enjoyed Rumour Cubes for something very different to open the main stage on Sunday, along with Subgiant, Zombie Met Girl, Billy Bragg, Attila the Stockbroker, & the Dance's tent's Sunday folk session. Plus Squeeze dragged me from my tent to the main stage with tune after tune.

Location a bit damp today but not too bad. Ground still holding up well
Good stuff, quite jealous that you're already there.
Anyone got the info on when everything closes each night? Sure I saw it somewhere but can't now locate it.

Which is great as I've not seen them since last time I went to Glasto.

(Ignore this rogue post, trying to delete it. But the one below makes me happy)

Don't worry about age. I'm old enough to be your father. We even used to have an Old Gits and Hags meet - though I'm sure you wouldn't qualify.
I remember that! DaveMac organised it. Did he dish out Victor Meldrew masks to everyone?

I don't know a single one of you, but thats what it's all about I guess, so see you all Wednesday!
If pinhead turns up looking like his avatar I will be very impressed
I met him first time last year....wait and see!

I would love to meet others into funk, jazz, rare groove and lots of dance as my camp mates who are lovely, like folk or hard core 120 beats a minute stuff. I love meeting new people but as I am sure many others feel....nervous.
You won't be, though your stated age has got me worried that I'm entering the final quartile now. But is OldBird still on the forums for example? I remember her at the noughties versions of this meet. Always used to be a good range of ages....

Won't be there as I'm arriving shortly before midnight. But answer me this, in the 5 years I've missed, how come it's no longer at the Cider Bus?
Or should I really not be asking that??
-
Good effort with the ridiculously early Clashfinder!
If it helps, Woodlands closed the music at 11pm last year, I know as I tried in vain to have some Cara Dillon after Afro Celts.

A vegan Glasto is what I fancy. People of that ilk, what do you recommend?
-
Much the same for me RDG. I think I was highly spoiled by last year's line-up but then I know it didn't float some people's boats. But it's a cracking festival and I shall have a fine time regardless of having no big acts to look forward to.
-
Mulatu again please - seeing as I missed him last night

Hi Tom, as I'm going for once, I thought I would reignite the old excitement. (See also, checking efests for rumours too often each day)
Turns out, despite the wonders of technological advancement of the last 5 years, people still post here.
Glasto-worker, what sort of sugar were they after?

24 year gap. First went in 1983, when Aswad and UB40 headlined, then back again in 2007 and not missed one since. Started going to festivals again in 2004 to the IOW to see The Who & Bowie and got the bug again. Am i the record holder?
Joint top matey, with robu who was 85-09. How was coming back for you?

Went in 1986. Didn't set foot on site again until 2009. What a mistake...
23 years has it so far. What's the story robu?

Kind of had a similar experience when I first went back in 2008, not on the same level but I was going through a rough patch in school and Glastonbury really gave me the escape I needed from my small town where everyone knows everybody and every year I look forward to it for that reason.
Also good to see TSU back on these forums!
BH06, yours is a name I recall, but like most I can't picture a face. Should I be able to? efest meets between 07 and 11? Does the Wednesday Cider Bus efest meet still exist?
Good to see you're going to Bearded Theory this year though (says the Bearded thread), you won't regret it.
Do I no longer have an avatar pic? It's been a while....

I'm looking forward to a return after a 5 year absence. See what's new, what's nice and familiar, see if Glasto can still be for me having done smaller fests since 2011.
But I'm sure a 5 year gap is nothing compared to some. Who can claim the longest period between Glastos? Either for this year or the past?
Nice to see some old name-tags still in these forums BTW.
Doves...

Announced as Sunday sub-headliners for Bearded Theory the other week, which is highly pleasing.
