The veteran American country music singer-songwriter whose hits include 'Coward of the County', 'The Gambler', 'Lady', 'Lucille', and 'Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town' reveals on his website, (here), in an article published earlier this year that he has been, "invited to perform at this year's Glastonbury festival in England."

In an interview with The Ledger, (here), the 74-year-old who has sold more than 120 million records and recorded 24 number-one hits says performing at this year's Glastonbury Festival will be highlight of his European tour, adding, "For them to invite me was a quite an honour, so we thought we'd go and see what happens."

If Kenny Rogers is booked, we'd expect him to appear on the main Pyramid Stage in the Sunday's legends slot which has seen acts like Don McLean, Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond and Brian Wilson.

The full line-up for 2013 has not yet been announced. Nas, Disclosure, Hot Natured, David Rodigan, Sub Focus, AlunaGeorge, Eats Everything, Rudimental, and The Congos, Gene Hunt, Tyree Cooper, Greg Wilson, Bicep, Grant Nelson, Mosca, Randall, Digital & Spirit, Kerri Chandler, Robert Owens, Horse Meat Disco, My Love Is Underground, DIY, Caroline Lucas, Tony Benn, The Portraits, Tankus the Henge, Telling the Bees, Rodney Branigan, and Rokia Traore are confirmed so far for the Festival, but as usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2013 rumours, updated as we receive information.

Tickets have sold out for this summer's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five full days from Wednesday 26th June until Monday 1st July 2013 across a 1000 hectares (2470 acres) of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. Resales of unwanted tickets will take place on Sunday 21st April 2013, for those who have registered beforehand so that they are eligible to buy a ticket.

UK ticket balances will be payable following the Easter Weekend from 09:00 Tuesday 2nd April until 23:59 Monday 8th April, when there will also be options to book everything else needed (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, cancellation protection).

A resale of tickets returned by those deciding not to pay their balances will happen on Sunday 21st April. A standard ticket is priced at £205 + £5 booking fee per ticket + £6 P&P per booking.

Registration is currently temporarily suspended but will reopen this week (commencing 18th March), if you want to have a chance to see Kenny Rogers, you must be registered in order to buy tickets when they go back on sale. eFestivals will let you know when registration reopens.
