Remember when they did the Jaipur X for a couple of years, that was around 10% 😂

It was lethal - came off shift once tired and everything and it was late evening and it floored me after 2 pints much to amusement of fellow stewards...

It always has been 4 days hasn't it?

This year we have 5 cos of all the roadworks.

Kind of more like 3.5 in terms of entertainment since stuff didn't really start on the Thurs until later on in the evening once everyone was in. Now Thurs is going to be a full day of stuff - is that right?

  3. So it's gone to a 4 day festival now officially. Hope I get an early shift (have been warned it's possible). Getting in as staff might be a challenge now tho as we normally get to pitch up then told to drive back to customer parking a mile away and with all the extra traffic that will be tasty.

my kids aren't (they go on holiday instead). i won't be getting a ticket, got to give up sometime, and I've decided this is time. its too awkward for me, and i can't enjoy it in the way i used to.

Fair enough and can understand. I've always held the approach that the year I struggle or don't enjoy it as much anymore will be my last. If I'm lucky, might make it to late 50's before it becomes the case that I'm not able to enjoy it in the same way I expect to somehow(?) and don't want to flog it for the sake of it.

I'd hate to have to leave Tom's Field behind 😔

I miss Tom's when Oxfam used that. Great view and easy to return to inside fence.

They've played it at every gig I've been to recently and it comes across well.  You are right though. Sitting down was a 90s phase.

Audience participation - let's bring it back 😉

Yes, Michael rocked up in his Land Rover to take charge of the straw spreading operation.  Sit down was omitted from the set, started with nothing but love and finished off with laid. 😉😊

AHH remember that! Yeah no one has actually 'sat down' I think though for Sit Down since the early 90s. They avoid playing it now but sometimes they do like BD the other year.

  9. Back in the old days when the ticket sale was after Oxfam it happened a lot I think, which led them to get wise over 'serial cancellers'. Not such a thing now though maybe.

It's normally the other way around by a few days.  You can usually get a refund from Oxfam if you get a resale ticket.

Cancel too many times over the years however and they flag you as a 'serial canceller'...

Of the 3 of them, BDs has by far the least happening on the Thursday.

Bearded has music on 2 of the 3 biggest stages, and Latitude has a decent amount of the smaller stages open.

Yeah Bearded stuff is usually 4 bands from 7 or 8 pm on one of the tented stages.

  12. Hopefully there will be a Crew Bar at Bearded this year. Last year it didn't last beyond Wed B4 it was abandoned. Made do with the Maui Waui crew bar instead but wondered if it was a cut that came with the new organisers....

    Gone again now.

    As has Beautiful Days

Really? BD gone this early? That's a quick for them isn't it - I used to think there were still places left for non-priority previous years.
