There was a slight undercurrent at Catfish and the Bottlemen - I don't think the heavy rain helped as soon as they came on, but its the first time I've seen cans of lager (full) being thrown at Glastonbury, and possibly bottles of piss

I thought it was dreadful, but I'm not a fan anyway. I was always going to PSB at the Glade, but I thought I'd give it a bit of time.
Lots of people were leaving when I did, but that happens at most headliners anyway doesn't it ? People feel obliged to check it out even if they don't like them?

It was a massive double bill of Future Islands into B&S, great atmosphere, 2 cracking sets - a top highlight for me

Rae Morris for me - album is a slow burner, but live she was a mesmerizing performer, and was so obviously delighted to be there

Always the worst comedown after Glastonbury - met so many great people this time, from all walks of life and all ages

As I'm on a Motorbike (and my mate) and that is near Gate A, we always head for Pylon / Darble area - 5 minutes walk and always plenty of room there (walk in off the footpaths though). You could head for other area's, but I suspect the other side of the Railway line is rammed and not worth the effort. Heading towards the Pyramid may be doable though

What I find most shocking is just how much irritating / annoying / stressful it is watching the womens England team as it is the blokes. I'm sure it'll be on somewhere if you want it, but I'll be avoiding it.

Yep - I seriously considered going Wednesday evening after work this year (only live in Bournemouth, which is a couple of hours away). But Thursday morning is fine for me (as usual), it means I get there and be set up for lunchtime. I enjoy the Thursday afternoon and evening (I too usually end up round the Brothers Bar / Williams Green area).
I'm getting on a bit now, and 4 days over-indulgence and lack of decent sleep is plenty enough for me!!
-
yes, depending on your gear its 5 minutes maximum
-
Working till Wednesday and then making the journey up. I only live in Bournemouth so a couple of hours is all it takes.

Charlatans could be moved I guess and Bastille do Other opening?

Sadly, Bastille make a lot of sense.......f*ck....

Yes - all the fields around Gate A have plenty of room - just walk in from the pathways for a bit and you'll be surprised how much space opens out

Hot Chip for me now. Never seen the Foo's so pretty gutted and can't stand Florrie

It has to be said that there has been some serious problems this year getting headliners. I do think the Glastonbury bookers (whoever they are) need to look at themselves - the biggest festival in the country and they can't get the biggest acts to play in preference to IOW or V, or are messed about and have to draft in old codgers at the the last minute as a replacement (The Who).
No issue with Flo being bumped up - Foo's accident was unforeseen and at this late stage there's not much else for it. Sadly, the Foo's were my Pyramid headliner of choice, so I won't be visiting the iconic stage this year for any headliner.

This is not a great report - but possibly laying it on a bit thick??

Ah, Mike99 - welcome back. Thought it was some green newbie earlier - nice effort!!

Wellies or Boots are a must. Only once in 8 years I've not worn them at all.

The Williams Green sets Thursday night are usually by 'mid sized' bands that are on the line-up somewhere on Friday, hence a decent shout for Catfish and the Cribs, as well as Wolf Alice. Other possibilities include Everything, Everything, Jungle, Peace, Circa Waves.
I suspect the 3 will come from those somehow

Defo best in the series for me.
Muse(yes, I like them), Sleater-Kinney, Seasick Steve, Brilliant stuff.
On the subject of Seasick Steve, for some reason I thought he was playing the festival. Can't find him on the poster or the rumours list, did I imagine it? or was he mentioned as a possibility so many times I took it that he was playing?
Yep - agreed - by far the best show of the series. I liked Muse, SK, Seasick and Ala ni - all great stuff.

+1 for setting up camp next to a path so you don't have to find your tent. The trick is to camp next to a path that's hardly used, those that camp up on the main path to the Park in PHG must get very little peace. Also seen quite a few on the path getting full searches by security last year.
The alternative is to camp near the fence (if the field has that of course) - at night head straight to the fence and then follow it round until you get to your tent. Easy (and much quieter than being on a path). Done it the last few years now - works a treat
