I take a crate of beer and a bottle of jager. I don't understand how you can possibly drink 5 litres of spirits and 3 crates over one weekend?!

We usually get up about 2am. Set off after a round of bacon butties. Get to the McDonalds in Derby about 5 for a McDonalds breakfast then onto Weston Park. Get in the queue about half 6/7ish. Usually have the first can open by 9!

They search people who look a bit shifty and they search everyones' bags or at least pat them down. The likelihood they'll take booze off of you? Pretty much zero. Don't worry. You'll find it hard to get beer tokens in the arena though as they've got a bit ID crazy the last couple of years.

I always camp in red close to the massive tree in the middle. Just near the diagonal fire lane that runs towards the campsite. If I changed I don't think it would feel right.

Thought I'd bump this as there has been a few new people asking which campsite to camp in.

Last year they were pink but the tickets weren't
. I'm hazarding a guess at orange but that might be too similar to last year. Either that or blue. -
Last year I got there by car for the first year and didn't see one sniffer dog. Year before on the train I also didn't see any. Apparently they have the dogs walking around the campsite though (not sure how true this is). If you're taking a little bit of weed I think they just take it off you but obviously if you've chopped up £200 of coke into 20 bags you're going sleeping somewhere that isn't your tent.

We usually set off about 3 in the morning to get in the queue abouts 7ish. We were in the car park by about 8am last year then took a steady walk down. Got set up by half 8 even though it says they don't open the camp sites until 10. I'm not sure about which entrance you will come in for the car parks but once you're in the main entrance they just direct you to which ever car park is filling up at the time.

Don't worry, I've never seen anyone get stopped. Even if you do get stopped just get someone over 18 to walk in with you.

Can you definately do this? I'm on the verge of buying one after stuggling across the leeds fesitval site for the past 4 years with a crate in my bag and one in my arms.

Yeah it is £10 not £5. In 08 when the rain came down we were stuck in the car park for 9 hours. Bad times. We got in the campsites at 7.30am last year. We were like one of the first to pitch in Red so we must have hit the times right.

You can rent them as you go into the campsites.
