  1. D section anyone can go in, best bet is to walk down to be in level with either big screen then make your way across (should end up about in the middle between front barrier and D barrier)

was made difficult to get in this year even though there was loads f space due to 100's of selfish people in chairs

  2. ...

There were 6 "lads" behind me who were all shouting at each other to use elbows to get what they wanted. Steel toe caps soon saw to that, I worry sometimes how many people get into danger in these crowds because of some of these stupid people. I understand people getting into a moving crowd and dealing with it but when people are trying to hurt others it is no fun.

    Apparently I am getting old!

  3. I'm curious - and this might be a stupid question too. :P

However, the front of the pyramid stage - that "crush" barrier that creates a "D" shaped area - does this seperate the areas so that it's restricted, or is it a space for "first in Joe Public"? I only ask as I was towards the front for the first time this year, for Madness, and was slighty amused to see someone in the "D" section, sitting in one of the many many (mostly empty) chairs, reading the paper! Not normally making the effort to the get towards the front, I must admit ignorance on how you got in there.

Am I missing something about that space?

  4. People takes their chances.

I hate it though when people put tickets up for sale because gran has died blah blah. Why not just do a Buy It Now at Face value???

I have done that in the past...

  5. More than one at the min, it seems!

    here

I liked his quote ... " ... I offer no refund if you do not gain entry to the event, but know from experience that unless you are a 7ft 30 stone woman with blonde hair you will be ok getting in. ... ".

The bids are at £285 so far - so he stands to make a nice little profit from not going. It's touting, just under another name. It's a shame there isn't an official "exchange" program for people in this sort of situation, where the ticket could go to the next on a list, administered by Glasto staff.

  6. Yet another ticket on ebay ... here

I'm curious - do people actually get in on these sorts of tickets? Last year, they had a pretty good look at mine. I know it depends upon the time etc you go in, but surely, once you've been rumbled, that's it? I guess it's ok if you're only going throught the gate once ... but, at £200 a gamble, I wonder what the odds are.

  7. 2007 for me.

First time there - arrived and set up Wed morn. Overcome with illness that had made setting-up very difficult - went home. Hospital from Wed night through to Sunday night, released just in time to drive back down, to collect my stuff that I had left behind (being ... everything!).

Although, seeing the weary expressions on my friends faces, covered in mud, made me slightly less gutted about it all.

  8. Having been reading the posts on here for the past few months and getting excited about Glastonbury, I thought I would join in the fun and in the process make my first post something really funny or insightful!

However, I couldn't think of anything...

    Sorry! :)
