  1. LITTLE Lovely weekend in West Wales but glad to be home and out of the Bank Holiday traffic.
  2. HORSES Had two old friends for supper tonight. So good to start back socialising.
  3. SHEPHERDS I don't know if you've ever caught the astonishingly talented Ade Edmondson but it's the sort of act you might find at WOMAD.
  4. WOLF Worry not. I'm off to West Wales tomorrow for a couple of nights so there will be a bit of a gap on my side. Glad you enjoyed the gig. Being a deafie anyway I don't have to worry about ringing in my ears - I just take my hearing aids out!
  5. I usually breeze in with a cheery 'No glass - but you're welcome to check' to the stewards. They've never bothered because they recognise you know the ropes. Should they check they won't find any because we do know the ropes.
  6. BROTHERS A lovely thing about this game is that it's broadening my music. Cutting Crew weren't on my radar but great performance. Mark Knopfler remains my favourite guitarist and this song is particularly apt with what's happening in Ukraine. Sixty bedding plants have gone in today but I'm running out of space in the garden and there's another sixty still waiting for homes. Plus more tomatoes and cucumbers to go into growbags in the greenhouses.
  7. LEG I'll have my first festival with family when I do Wychwood with daughter, her wife and twin grandkids, aged six, in June. Mrs GH won't be with us though as she has an old schoolfriend, who now lives in Guernsey, staying with us for a couple of weeks at the time.
  8. SHOE Do the kids that brought you together go to WOMAD too?
  9. LADY Lionel really seemed to be enjoying Glasto. I hadn't realised you were doing WOMAD too.
  10. TWICE or DAILY They went down a storm in one of the smaller tents at Glastonbury which was rammed when they did a Scrumpy and Western singalong.
  11. BONE Agreed on British Sea Power. Saw them at Glastonbury a few years back. Excellent. George Thorogood I've only seen on TV (Live Aid) or online. But great rocking band.
  12. HOUR One of my favourite music films (along with the Blues Brothers). Amazing to think that the singer, Andrew Strong, was only 16 when he made this.
  13. CONCRETE Result! Won our first boules match of the season 3-1
