I can't say I blame you. I had a panic as the campsite we've been using for London gigs was full. I did find another one but obviously not happening now, but only lost £20. Coming from up north though could be tricky. I know that Electric Ballroom has quite an early curfew though as they have club nights. Probable be all done by 10:30pm, so could make last train?
I’ve tried looking at some options today but I think it’s going to be difficult to get there rather than back as I’ve got potential places I could stay. I’ve emailed ticketmaster and tbf rightly so they can’t be of much help. It’s my own fault as didn’t think it through thoroughly enough but now I’ve got some tickets that I’m sure loads of people would snap my hand off for but I can’t do much about it, or at least easily anyway.

Not really thought this through but I’ve got tickets and not 100% sure I can go as I live up North
Need to try and make it happen

The banquet, a nice idea which I'd have liked to have done, seems completely over priced to me, particularly if you don't eat meat.
Agreed. We did it last year and it was really nice, but felt the price point is just too high. Not doing it this year.

Won’t be everyone’s thing but abit disappointed to see the hot tub people won’t be there this year apparently. Enjoyed chilling in there for a couple of hours

Last Dinner Party on Rising?
I’d never heard of them until recently but their one Spotify song seems to have loads of listens and they are on Woodsies at Glasto (albeit first one).
Edit, like the look of it overall but Young Fathers / First Aid Kit abit annoying. I’ll try and catch YF at glasto

Thinking through the list of acts missing from the lineup there’s a whole heap of people who make more sense than the Foos in that slot. Blur are still free and as friends of the fest would surely agree to not be in announced in advance, to avoid taking the limelight off the headliners. Alternatively The 1975 ‘churn’ out records at a fair rate of notts 😉
Blur aren’t really free though.

Hi all
This isn’t in relation to I days but hoping someone with more Italian knowledge with me can offer abit of advice…
Looking to go to Blur in Lucca but the ‘pit’ tickets appear to be sold out. There are some (I think although the descriptions aren’t that clear to me) on ‘fansale’ which seems to be a secondary seller but through the official ticket site. Is this likely to cause me any issues if I buy from there? Or any other suggestions to get a couple of these tickets?

Got a mate from the area, moved away now but she still goes back to see her family sometimes. She's heard info from some locals, and I can't share it yet, but let's just say GM are definitely punching above their weight this year! One of the headliners wouldn't look out of place headlining somewhere like the Other Stage, Primavera or All Points East....
I assume what you were told wasn’t what was announced?
I think the line up looks alright and I’m excited to be going. I’m not fussed about the headliners though compared to the last couple of years but I think that’s a taste thing.

Personally very happy with the line-up! Hoping Young Fathers and The Walkmen don't clash as they're probably top of my to see list, but also loads of good stuff further down.
Roll on August.
Will they not both probably both be FO headliners?

Probably P.Scream headlining but the others are rumoured to be on the bill. Possibly Yeah Yeah Yeahs the other night since they’re playing London that weekend?
I could see Young Fathers Fri (although can’t see it selling too many tickets), Fred Again Sat.
Primal Scream surely don’t have the pull to headline something this size (or at least potential size)?
After doing a couple of days last year I wouldn’t go to any of them though

I actually don't know about the gigs around it, but they're not at the festival. It'll take a fair amount of guessing the headliners. It's pretty out there
Interesting. I assume you won’t say anymore but any idea if announcement is soon?
I enjoyed the couple of days I went to last year so it was one I was keeping an eye on but ‘out there’ could suggest it might be different direction this year?

Current view of Settlers. Clouds clinging to the mountains, faint drizzle around.
As you can see the field is pretty busy, the area to the right of the second picture is Family camping. It's not completely rammed but there's never been this number of people here at this point. Normally the Family area is half empty before Thursday.
We are camped very close to there 👀
-
Just to add I’m pretty sure that Butchers had a stall at the settlers place for the whole week last year.
And agree with the poster above that the scotch eggs were fantastic.
Last year was my first Green Man and we did settlers. Loved it, doing it again this year 🙂

Thanks, we've gone ahead and booked the double decker bus one. Sure it'll be good (if just for the shower that's included!)
We’ve booked the bus too, on the Friday I think.
Ive never been at Green Man before (only been to Green Man once last year and they weren’t there) but have been at Bestival a few years ago and it’s the same company and it was a highlight of the weekend tbh.
I’m not sure what it would be like if the weather is grim though 😬

That puts Beach House into tent on Thursday I assume though. Which is possible I suppose

Kraftwerk are hit and miss live in my experience but should be a good show.

That’s the ideal hope I think. It just feels unlikely. Wait and see I guess. Off to the playlist for the day anyway

I think Metronomy ended up doing something similar the year Van Morrison headlined but I think very particular circumstances applied in that case.

I’m assuming Bicep will be Friday night Far Out headliner. Up against, Michael Kiwanuka.
Yeah thinking about it that’s probably the most likely suggestion

I would put money on them being on before Kraftwerk. Both have big A/V elements and feel like natural festival bedfellows, it makes no sense to advertise a main stage headliner and put someone on after them, and I really doubt they'll be in Far Out for how popular they are.
It will be light though. I don’t see how a change to the license is particularly likely either.
Interesting one for sure and I hope the plan is good, whatever it is.
-
I hope it’s Metronomy. Would prefer Beach House on the main stage.
I really like Bicep but struggling to see where they will be. It’s got to be the tent really hasn’t it?

My final headliner guess is Slowdive - Kiwanuka - Bonobo - Beach House
That would be great for me. Not sure about Slowdive but the other 3 seem about as realistic as anything suggested.
-
Got tickets earlier.
Was a first timer this year it would be up there with one of my fave festivals that I’ve been to so happy to jump on board straight away
-
Re, Jamie XX. Yeah I would have thought so too. That will be busy.
Otherwise it would be before National but that just doesn’t seem right 😕 -
Wonder where Jamie XX will play.
I didn’t have a ticket for this year but was tempted before all Covid hit.

Really?
Would be tempted if that’s the case. Was expecting them to be at BKS which we can’t make the dates for next year.
