  1. me too

I remember him taking the piss out of punters who'd been unsuccessful in getting tickets one year (I think it was the year when some people had been on the phone for nearly 24 hours!)

"oh boo hoo, I haven't got a ticket"...

it's hard to think of many examples of how nasty a human specimen can get...

  2. nice one. i remember when i was doing that. put on a pound last week. had a pretty shite week though so that's my excuse.

hopefully i'll lose a shit load next week at glastonbury. supernoodles, crisps and cider plus walking. got to be a winner?

  3. It kinda has been going downhill though. It's good! Don't get me wrong I will always watch south park, but it seems every episode is about current affairs now. I kinda liked it when it was less current and more about low-key stuff that seemed far more personal to the makers, stuff that only they would bother writing an episode about. I generally prefer material that seems passionate rather than something that feels like its a crowd pleaser. These days it's whatever is in the paper or what movie or video game is currently successful. It just seems less driven by their personalities and more driven by common subjects, and while that's always done quite well, it does feel a bit cheap.

  4. were one of my must sees. but now they're playing edinburgh in august, i reckon i'll just head up to avalon early to get a good spot for folk face. rather than rushing about like a dafty like i would have been doing.

  5. as far as I'm aware there's been very little 'first-heard-on-Facebook' info about who is playing at fests this year - I'd say that Twitter beat it by a margin quite some way over tens times.

And all the same, efests succeeded at being ahead of both of them and everywhere else with an awful lot of stuff for the bigger bands at the bigger fests, not much different to any other year. What does vary year-on-year is what exactly efests gets to hear about - so while for once we weren't first with the Glasto headliners (tho we were closer to the correct ones than just about everywhere else), we had both the V and Reading/Leeds headliners spot on months before they were announced.
