I think not a competing festival but more of a spin off in August time, a smaller family festival with the good bits from the kids, circus, avalon etc, with some new unique ideas. Smaller, easier to get around site but with some of the Glasto spirit. It could see older people/families switch from Glasto, and allow the youth to come through in the main festival to ensure the crowd doesnt die off.  People who missed out go the second fest or someone with dig pockets who wants a second fix a few weeks later.

I was the pyramid stage with my headphones in pretending it was James, got some funny looks when they done 'Sit Down' for the encore

Love Lockdown and Through The Wire would have been amazing, as well as Flashing Lights, but with the sheer volume he's put out, there will always be omissions. And look at the notes next to those songs! Look at the concessions he made to get the casuals on side; No Church In The Wild, Niggas In Paris, Four Five Seconds, a Queen singalong, I wouldn't ask any more of him, same as I wont ever complain about Flashbulb Eyes or Normal Person last year.

I think Through  the wire and flashlights would have been played if he had more time, he seemed a bit pissed with 7 minutes left

I think playing Lovelock down in the middle, plus longer versions of Paris and Blood on the leaves. Could have made it almost perfect

we went to gate A and got turned away, so had to go back to the drop off point, then the 5 hour wait. biggest kick in the balls ever

its not so much the numbers, its how people spend their day too many people at the main stages, and not enough at the fringe stuff. They could probably add 20k who have no interest in the bigger stuff, and the site wouldnt suffer. But adding 20k general punters would be unbearable

The guys loading the buses seemed to be very efficient but there were just too many people.

 

 

I think they could have got the coaches moving much quicker by filling all the coaches when they arrived, then plug the gaps to get a quicker turn around.
