We wont have the Ben part of the user name with us this year being 19 he dont wanna do stuff with us now, so we will be joined by one of Amy's friends!

As for glastonbury cant see us going again its such a monster everything a massive mission from tickets through to trying to make it stages maybe in a campervan i could be tempted!

  2. Thought this needed a nudge! OI OI anyone out there ! Ok who's going this year? who has already got tickets? We hope to be buying ours this week, seen the online flyer and looks bloody marvellous, any rumours as yet ?

  3. have not bee sgp for a few years now,but always have a little look at whats going on here tho,and see the same Q&A going on, so here goes: at the gate they will search your bags very very well they will possibly remove some items to get a propper good look in there they may have look in your tent bag too, this search is for all booze in plastic, glass and cans alike, then you get the dog treatment and dont think that because of the olympics that dogs that search drugs can be used for explosives cos they cant, after all this you will be aloud into the festival where the camping fields are nice and spacious the festival its self is well layed out and has some great stages plenty of loos that are well maintained and the food stalls are fantastic plenty of bars and i hope the cocktail bar is still there doing lush bloody marys and mojitos!

  4. Not got our tickets just yet but will do in the next few weeks ! ive had a look at the E flyer they have online,do think some names appear year after year witch is not so appealing but some gems in there too (Billy Bragg), some one else has said they have never found the secret bar and knor have we so might be the mission this year! thimk we going it alone again this year, people not got the cash to do the festies amymore !

  6. We had a good time (not as good as previous years) but all in all we enjoyed ourselves. Highspot for me was the beatbox workshop and lowspot was some random (totally off his head) trying to get into our sleeping bag with us at 3.30am this morning. Thankfully he wasn't a thief because he'd opened the main zip, then opened the inner zip and was peering over us calling for "Lisa". Neither of us had heard him coming in, I screamed like a banshe for him to get out of the tent but he was still asking for lisa, then my other half screamed at him to get out and he said "Oh sorry mate" and went leaving both zips open wide open. It scared the living daylights out of us cos we were both flat out. Made me think though that I was glad I wasn't sleeping alone in the tent. Can smile about in now but had trouble going back to sleep at the time.

  7. Just crawled back home after a fantastic three days. A warning for next year, however, there was at least one guy working the car park scamming money out of people on the day I arrived there. He was approaching people as they offloaded their stuff, asking a fiver a person and claiming the money was an additional donation for carbon offsets. He seemed very plausible at the time but when I asked about it later nobody official had heard of him.

  8. OMG, it's Thursday...! Way too early though!

So, the last of SNBA's weather updates then Shambalians. It's true to the forcasts at the moment - a little of the R word, not too heavy though, hopefully it will have stopped by the time the gates open so we should at least be able to set up in the dry!

    See you all later....

    :D:lol::)B):P;):rolleyes:

  9. Thanks SNBA for the weather updates, we should be safe to head off early then. Looks like there's a meet in the Wonkycock again this year(7pm Fri). Hope you can make it SNBA it'd be lovely to see you again. If anyone reading this thread fancys meeting in the flesh come to the Wonkycock pub at 7pm Friday.

As for our cat, who's costing us an arm & a leg. He's okay thanks (a long story I won't bore you with except to say if he catches anymore creatures after all this is over I'll personnally remove his teeth and claws.)

I probably won't get a chance to post again now before we go, so want to wish everyone a great festival. Hope to see some of you in the Wonkycock Pub, if not and you see a Grandfather Clock in the parade please come and say hello. 18 hours and 41 mins to go................

  10. The SNBA Weather Channel :) Love it! Thanks for the latest update.

It certainly is looking good. Very acceptable. As they say on the Glasto Weather thread .. 'Stick!'

Best thing is it'll be good for the fancy dress parade. Having spent hours making

my 'baby' outfit I'd be really cheesed off if it was a wash out.

Last day at work gonna go sloooowwww.

  11. Morning Shambalians! SNBA weather here...so far it's all dry in Shambalashire and the forcasts haven't changed. I've checked 3 again this morning - Metcheck, Beeb and Accuweather and they all say the same thing; dry today which is good as it will dry out any dampness from yesterday :P Showers tomorrow and Friday and then dry and sunny for the remainder of the weekend! It's looking good folks and at least we should be able to get there nice and early (well 2pm) tomorrow and get maximum time at lovely Shambala! Bring it on... B)

  12. Picked up our cat from the vets earlier on and was faced with a bill of £217. To say I went pale is an understatement. Looks like we'll be taking food with us to try and keep costs down :( Pity the Hare Krishna's don't do Shambala. So if you see someone begging at the festy it isn't a fancydress idea it'll be me :(

  13. It's been raining on and off all day in the shire, but it's been really drizzly rain - so hopefully it's not had too much impact on the site!

Metcheck now says dry tomorrow, showers Thursday and Friday, sunny Saturday and Sunday.

Beeb say similar, as do Accuweather, so it's not looking too bad for the weekend really, as long as we get a break in the rain to set up camp then I'll be happy! :P

  14. Well I'm up good and early to give you all the first weather report of the day! So far it's dry, although a little cloudy. The Beeb are saying that we, in the shire, are due some rain today - but not all day, it should be done with by about 4pm and then will brighten for the evening and tomorrow looks good and dry! Will keep you updated during the day if I can (I'm going into school to do some work in my classroom and not sure if the internet police will let me on the forum!) It's looking ok though :P

  15. That would be useful.

We're travelling up from Wootton Bassett Thursday morning. 4 peeps and 4 peeps worth of gear in a little hatchback.

Be nice to know we could leave all our wet weather gear behind :)

But I dont think we'll chance it. Its a long way to go back for wellies :)
