Sorry to hear that, sounds like the perfect evening for a bottle of wine. I hope you are going to be ok.

I'll be fine (I know people are going through worse than me) and yes the wine has been cracked open!! It's just been one of those days when a lot of bad news comes at once :(

  2. So today my manager advised that from 2nd I still going to be on furlough with a review in a few weeks, but she doesn't think it's likely I'll be back working until least the new year... :(

also, didn't get a 2nd interview for a great job I applied for, car battery dies and bank sent me a message that I'm overdrawn!! Today has been the pits tbh <_<

  3. Also with this everyone is in Tier 2 or 3 my opinion this is to show success when they move any area into Tier 1 so they can shout about it

Easy wins for places with low numbers and makes gov look good... yes I'm cynical 😑

Boris can’t be the leaker ... he didn’t even make the cobra meeting !!  Must have had another more pressing need !!

It was always between Gove and Cummings (He's still in the mix just behind the scenes until mid Dec)

It's bloody obvious but we can't finger point.. they know what they are doing :(

Do you reckon we will get a leak of tiers tomorrow?

Without a doubt!!! Manchester will be in the secret worst tier given we had 2 call outs today on how naughty we were standing up for ourselves :(

This will split some families and cause some to be left out if they want to abide by the rules in a type of Peter Pan scenario.

I just said this to the fella that it will probably cause some arguments on favouritism and who gets priority :(

People who are cautious will remain cautious ... people that don’t give a shit won’t take any notice of rules ... whatever they might be ... there isn’t going to be enforcement .... please whatever you decide open those windows , meet outside where possible , just do what you can to make everyone safe ...

    ^^^ Yep

Me and my fella are doing our usual solo Christmas together and just do virtual meets with our family until we feel it's safe to travel across the country to see them (probably when we have a jab tbh)

I guess. So I suppose if you’re in tier 1 you may well be able to see some family before Christmas, then two different households over Christmas?

Not that I’m too bothered! Two households is fine by me - just means a lovely quiet Christmas 😂

Yeah I suppose you would... tbh I've been in tier 2, tier 2+, tier 3 and then lockdown, I've actually forgot what it was like to meet people freely and w/out worry :(

So if A sees B and B sees C, A and C are in a bubble even if they don’t see each other? That’s how I understand it.

Think this might actually get adhered to by and large.

That's how I see it too

How does this work with tiers though? If you’re in their 1, presumably you can still see up to 6 indoors. So Is this bubble thing just for tiers 2 and 3?

in theory it would mean more than 6 people across 3 households so I see it applicable for all tiers over the 5 days and then revert back to tier rules before/after

And presumably if the household you see sees another household then they are part of your bubble regardless of whether you see them. If you see what I mean.

I would say so, otherwise the mixing could get a lot bigger if each household has 3 different bubbles each

  12. 5 minutes ago, Zoo Music Girl said:

Yeah so for example you can't see household A and household B at the same time if household A is also seeing household C? If sticking to the rules anyway. This shit fries my brain!

Sounds like once 3 households selected it's only these 3 you can see over the 5 covid free days

I have no sympathy for people who take their legal advice from bloody social media, probably started by some smart arse who were thinking they were clever dragging this old thing that only helped a few rich folk hundreds of years ago :(

  14. I'm not convinced with festivals going ahead especially one as large as Glastonbury...

I hope the vaccine roll out timeline works out but I'm not sure it will, plus you have all the internationals whether that be customers, workers or acts to contend with

Then we have the anti vaxers and nervous folk that vaccine has been rushed who won't get the jab

Obviously festivals can't be the socially distanced affairs they are looking to implement with sports at no either IMO.

So you have alot of people mixing from all over of which maybe a 3rd have been vaccinated (total guess)... it just seems very high risk to me

Don't think my gigs in Feb and March will be happening either :(

I'm so conflicted I want them to happen but I can see safely how they can

  15. I see Hancock trying to blame Andy Burnham for why tier placement will be non-negotiable... all places were arguing for more money it was just Andy made a public point on how unfair the money side was..

Which when London cried about it the magic money tree struck immediately but when it was just the north we were being unreasonable

The government seriously won't take any responsibility  :(

despite our rapidly falling numbers we're going to be made an example of and put in Tier 3 for sure!!

  16. So have the explained how you get out of the stricter tiers? As fully expect Greater Manchester to go into Tier 3 but our numbers are dropping rapidly so what is the review process to change tier?

Below is the difference 10 days made (bear in mind the 12th Nov is probably a result of tier 3 whereas the 22nd will be due to lockdown)

There’s no way London will go to tier 1. We were tier 2 pre lockdown meaning we are guaranteed tier 2 (what was tier 3 before) it not the new stricter tier 3.

What baffles me is they are actually sticking with the rule of 6 in tier 1 areas, which is crazy as that’s such a stupid rule.

There is no sense to their logic it's purely political now :(
