  1. Hi Dan, We normally go in the general campervan fields but last year we ended up at Bath & West after I missed the accommodation sale. It's a nice enough site to pitch on, the loos are very nice and clean and the shower block is a big plus point. The shuttle bus is tolerable for most of the festival and it dumps you at Gate A which I reckon is roughly the same distance as Gate C from the Pyramid stage. Having to catch the bus definitely gave the weekend a bit of a different feel for us. We had a horribly long wait (hours) trying to get back from the festival site on the Sunday night. We usually pack up and head off Sunday night so that was a real pain, but if you normally travel on the Monday maybe not an issue, but I'd recommend heading back to B&W either before the end of the main stage sets, or much much later.
  2. We've stayed in both East Quiet and East General a few times and out of the two preferred the Quiet fields. Last year however we ended up at Bath & West after I totally missed the accommodation sale date. It's a nice enough site to pitch on, the loos are nice and clean and the shower block is a definite plus point. The shuttle bus is tolerable for most of the festival, but we had a horribly long wait (hours) trying to get back from the festival site on the Sunday night. I'm glad to say we got EQ again this year, but if we'd ended up in B&W again I was wondering about the possibility of driving the car to the festival site on the Sunday for an easier exit at the end of the day 🤔.
  3. My guess would be the point is that they can see exactly what everyone else can see be that the stage, flags, the excellent tall people, flags, the screens, flags, or the elaborate hats, and flags
  4. If you're shoulder to shoulder down the front then the little shift lef tor right may not be possible tbh. So we're agreed? ban flags , tall people and overly elaborate hats from the area between the stage and the sound desk? Oh and umbrellas too...don't get me started on umbrellas. Let me know when the poll opens on "should we ban people walking slowly in front of me when I've got 5 minutes to get to Park?"
  5. yeah so I would suggest that once you're that far back then you are most likely looking at the screens 98% of the time, so the flags maybe not that big a deal? I know that's the case for me when pretty much any further back that the desks on Pyramid, but I've got tired old eyes.
  6. I'll set my stall out. I like the flag vibes, and find them useful navigation waypoints. One question tho...how far back from the stage do you need to be before the teeny tiny people on the stage could be literally anyone? Or to put it another way, at what distance from the stage do you stop looking at the screens? When will we start banning tall people? Can we bring in restrictions on hats? etc
  7. We'll be first time at B&W this year too. I'm actually interested to do the comparison with General East CV's as we had a fairly big walk last year from there to gate C. I believe B&W has flushing lavs and a shower block which may appease you missus 🙂
  8. The way they name the campervan fields is weird because the so-called quiet field is actually closer to the SE corner of the festival. It is however a fair bit closer to gate C so worth choosing. The hill of death is directly outside Gate C, and you climb it to get to the campervan fields. Don't worry, compared to the hill the Worthy View lot have to climb it's not that bad
  9. I saw similar setups in the campervan fields last year. You'll be fine
