Oh, really? No second tranche of sales for this year? Meh. I'll see whether I think I'm likely to be fit enough for next year - starting to feel too old for my first one, TBH.

Hmm. Really? More of an issue would be the channel they chose to use - would many people wanting to buy a ticket (and using this deprecated approach of multiple screens or devices) actually be reading Twitter at the time they were doing it?

Hmmm ... I'm not sure. As I said earlier, I don't think I can think of *any* friends I could ask to help me on this with any likelihood of them doing it. Not sure how old you are or what your relationship status is, but you may be underestimating how isolated older single/widowed/divorced men can be.

Ah, I was about to ask this. So, if you get 24 hours to pay for resale tickets, does that mean you can try to buy an entry ticket, and then if not allowed to buy a camper van ticket, you can just let your entry ticket lapse?

What's your source of that 5% figure, and how are you defining "gaming"? From this thread, which may not be representative, it sounds like most people "game" it.

I see that asserted, but I think I disagree. Well, of course, it depends on the aim of the method of selling tickets.
