  1. Hey guys. Im debating going to mad cool sunset in September.
Was wondering though, is it at the same location as the main festival itself, and also, what is the location of the festival? I know it’s Madrid but wanted a bit more of an idea before I book anything.

  2. Biffy Clyro - 2013. The greatest festival set I’ve ever seen (2016 and 2021 are both unbelievable too).

Linkin Park - 2003. It was my first time going, and I’ve seen them better, but you know…first festival experience!

Pearl Jam - 2006. No gimmicks, just amazing songs.

and a few non main stage…

    Manic Street Preachers (R1) - 2008

    Faith No More (R1) - 2009

Hot Hot Heat (Carling) - 2007

Hi Everyone! I think I'm booking my 2000 trees ticket very very very soon and it will be my first year going. Any tips for the festival? Also will there be anymore bands announced or do we reckon this is it?

I believe this is it, lineup wise. As far as tips goes, the usual supplies etc. If you’re a drinker, bring some stuff you like, there’s no gates getting into the main arena, so you can take whatever you like with you (not glass I don’t believe).

Overall, just relax and enjoy yourself. The crowd at Trees is a really friendly bunch, never had any issues with anyone there.

Trees posted all the running orders by stage previously. Surely all someone (who has more time & is better at this stuff than me) has to do is fill in the gaps? That clashfinder is all over the place.

It is right bizarre. Some bands are way too high I think. It’ll get sorted out I’m sure.

It's still got a few TBC's too and that was the last announcement

Bob Vylan and Turnstile won't be on at the same time either unless there's a big site change around too as those stages are right next to each other

Hoping Rolo and turnstile don’t clash.

It's always great even if the line up isn't the best.

I wonder if the later announcement time is because they've got someone american/Canadian who they want tweeting about it right away

Agreed. It’s a wonderful festival. Regarding the lineup, who knows eh? Bring it on though.

It was one of the best festivals that anybody who went to it has ever been to, I say that with no amount of hyperbole. It was a stunning weekend. And, whilst not ‘world defining’, it was absolutely, without question,  a defining moment for live music in this country. It will forever be a unique part of the history of live music in the UK. If you didn’t go, that’s fine, but you cannot downplay it’s importance.

Couldn’t put it better myself. Easily one of the greatest weekends of my life.

What a weekend, eh. I have spent all weekend listening to new releases and it’s been fantastic. On top of those you’ve mentioned, Can’t Swim have brought a record out this week which is decent. Slow Crush and Green Lung have both had records out his last fortnight and both are solid efforts. What a crazy month for releases!

I’ve also been giving some albums a listen from earlier in the year which I haven’t put on in a while:

    - That last Cannibal Corpse album is bloody excellent and their best since KILL.

    - URNE’s Serpent and Spirit is wonderful and one of the best out and out metal releases of the year.

    - Even Fear Factory’s album is solid. Metal has had a great year.

That Urne album is truly outstanding. Hope they get on Download next year.

It's a tad too fun though. I don't mind the change of direction from hardcover as much as others but it could do with a couple of tracks of Frank being aggro. Joe Talbot probably gives the angriest vocals on the record.

I agree that he could’ve/should’ve given it some more aggro on a few tracks, but overall, I am enjoying it.
Ive literally just finished it as we speak. Shocked it was so short at 29 minutes! Just breezed by.

I've been listening to the new Frank Carter album. Based on the singles I went in expecting that every song would sound the same with the only way to tell them apart is by the guest voaclist and it is like that but there's a few tracks that acutally do sound different. Solid album which I liked more than the last one.

Now onto Delilah Bon's new EP for a listen.

Really enjoying Sticky so far. Just a really fun record.
