Is BBK more sustainable? And I like how MA care more about being in a carbon neutral festival but playing with sexual abusers like Win Butler.
dunno man. i still drive a diesel

massive attack doing their own “festival” i see. aiming to be completely carbon neutral so i guess PS was not compatible. and may never be!

presale APE tickets are £71 but there’s a whopping booking fee.
-
i guess everything’s gone up. think APE were even offering two for one tickets late on last year

i do t see how she could do portishead songs without geoff and adrian. or if she did, it might suck. unless they were pretty radical reworks which could be cool
-

I know that these people work for the festival so ofc even if they didn’t like it they would still act surprised and happy. But damn it seemed like they very trying really hard to show any emotions at all. Either they shocked form how good it is or either it’s just super meh. And I’m kind of scared that it’s just meh. Yes sure Pulp, PJ Harvey and Lana are all great and there are nice acts being discussed or rumoured for the undercard but still everything just feels meh. No legendary comebacks, no legendary headliners, no fresh and good headliners, everything seems so dull. I really hope I’m wrong.
exactly this. for the first time in almost a decade i’ve held back on buying tickets this year until the line up arrived. wasn’t sure why but i think you’ve summed it up.
obviously would be overjoyed to be proved wrong.

pj and duncan?
fan sale email just came through. wonder why they’re asking for registration.

Isn’t Mad Cool using also this place for their next edition? I’m quite curious to see how’s that going to work, maybe they will use Primavera’s mistakes and improve the site and the connection to the site.
However from dozens of people that I spoke in the festival, almost no one wants to comeback here to Arganda next year.
i believe there has been a Stopmadcool23 account or hashtag on twitter for a while

We are talking about this fest in Madrid, but, for me, it's over. Next year only urban fests, no more shuttles or long trips to see a concert.
Just thinking next year doing a Kalorama or something like that.
i am speaking for PS as a whole

It’s almost like everyone who chose Barca wants this weekend to be a total disaster…… so far I have had the best festival experience in years here in Madrid
got lucky Thursday with Blur tickets… so admittedly one of the lucky few but that show will live long in my memory
as for yesterday…..
Wristband exchange and bus at 5pm…. A breeze
Venue…. Brilliant and bar a few puddles at the Amazon stage was dry as a bone
Bars and food …. Great choices, friendly staff everywhere
Crowds ….. all the bullshit on here about low ticket sales……. The place was absolutely rammed by the time Depeche Mode came on…. I’ve seen ridiculous sales numbers being touted on here and was expecting some kind of Fyre Festival ghost town scenario
anyway … the most important thing is the music and my god every act I managed to see delivered in spades
Julia Jacklin, Soul Glo, The Mars Volta, Depeche Mode, Kendrick, Fred and finally Skrillex… honestly I’ve done festivals around the world and I genuinely had one of my best nights ever last night … I’m still buzzing
Someone else here said they had a proper moment watching Fred Again…. I have no words for how good he was…. I’d just watched Kendrick deliver a powerhouse performance and yet somehow Fred delivered something even more special
I’m a total Primavera convert now, have done madcools, Coachella, most of the UK and Ireland fests and the experience and music I got yesterday and Thursday has knocked all of them out of the park
Roll on day two
errr, quite the opposite for me dude. just hope everyone had a good time. long time barcelona attendee and want nothing more than for the fest to do well.
think the animosity arises from previous examples of mismanagement, and the management as a whole, which to be honest i’ve never known with other fests i’ve been to, but speaks volumes about how dearly we all hold it i guess.

apologies if this has been covered earlier on here, but a friend got a free upgrade to VIP last week - via an email out of the blue, for being a "longstanding customer" - check your spam folders, apparently. He's been going 20 years. sadly, i alternate buying tickets with my mates each year so missed out.
