  1. all of us who can be arsed to download the glasto apps and check the glasto twitter accounts etc... will these be giving any last minute heads up for special guests/surprise appearances?

as in is this what happened last year?

i recall walking past someone who knew Thom Yorke was gonna be appearing at the park later coz it was tweeted.

    just wondered.

  2. Any Adam and Joe fans on here? They will be doing a show Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 1pm everyday from the site i believe. With a special festival goer Black Squadron command!

Does anybody know if there's a radio one broadcasting stage where you can kinda watch? Or is this all backstage now? I recall seeing Steve Lamaq and Jo Whiley on a stage someplace once.

Memory is hazy from Pear Cider.

  3. As much as it pains me to say it but......if its looking like 2007 I'm bailing.

I'll wait until the tuesday before hand to decided but I'd rather kiss gooodbye to £200 and pay that anyway to spend 5 days wanding around looking at a sorry arse site covered in chocolate moose with my legs aching and desperate to find somehwere, anywhere, out of the rain to sit down.

    There I've said it.

Yeah yeah I know you can still have a good time, playing/shagging in the mud etc but frankly I can't be arsed.

  4. BBC Monthly forcast is updated:

    Monday 20 June 2011 to Sunday 26 June 2011

    Wimbledon starts: new weather, please?

There's little sign of a spell of warm, sunny weather to take the nation through one of the premier, sporting events of the summer. Low pressure will again lie close by to the British Isles, with the wettest and windiest spells of weather to be found across the north and west.

Temperatures will not warrant postcards home, falling below par in southern England, south Wales, southwest Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Sunshine amounts will suffer as unseasonable, wetter spells take precedence across southwest Britain and the Midlands.

  5. Have to say I don't get it. I've been to Glasto 11 times and alternated between Big Ground overlooking the Pyramid and Pennards. Last year as the site seemed packed by silly o'clock on Wednesday morning I was forced into Dairy Ground. I've never experienced a place with such a horrible, zero atmosphere. Crammed in like cattle and nobody talking to each other. Felt like V Fest or something. We tried to get to know our neighbours and it was like 'why you talking to me? go away'.

Horrible lifeless place in my opinion.

  6. My mate bumped into Guy in a pub in Manchester a few weeks ago. During a very long chat (which I'm not jealous of at all!) he asked if Elbow were going to play Glastonbury. Guy said 'hopefully' ...
