  1. What are our options for female headliner? Who's big enough and around? Lana and Dua? Are those the only viable options?
  2. Not many of those are headline size. I'd happily take a good half of them on the undercard though.
  3. This is all about marketing the quality of the acts they have booked for the festival's second announcement. Her result last night outshines anything done by Ed Sheeran, Oasis, Adele etc at the same awards. So, in my mind, relevance doesn't come into it. Market the sh*t out of it.
  4. Well, Raye has won 6 of the 7 awards she was nominated for at the Brits. If Sziget socials aren't all over that in the next 48 hours then they should sack their marketing team. The most Brits any act has won in one year in the 45-year history of the awards. Her live tickets will undoubtedly become the hottest thing known to man in the UK after a phenomenal live performance at the ceremony. Her album will slam back into the top 10 too. Come on Sziger, get Raye announced and promote the hell out of the fact!
  5. Raye up for a record number of awards at the Brits ceremony tonight. Maybe Sziget waiting on the outc one of that before announcing her with a fanfare.
  6. So, another week passes with no announcement. Not even an announcement of an announcement date! Leaks said we wouldn't have to wait beyond March 12th. Does that mean the likely announcement date IS March 12th? That would mean exactly three months between 1st and 2nd announcement, which makes some sense I guess.
  7. Any hints on when the announcement will actually be made @Sziget2024_Leaks? It'll be March at the end of the week so feels like it's not far away.
  8. The fact that the leaker disappeared for more than two months and the first act he hints at on his return is Tom Odell probably tells you all you need to know about the likely quality of the next announcement.
  9. I think this is a social media guy (or girl) who is absolutely sick of everyday reading the same question, over and over, and they've finally snapped as they know it's not on the horizon. I think that from this there is no way we are getting an announcement in February. I think we are at least three or four weeks away.
  10. She would certainly fit the bill as the prestige booking mentioned elsewhere. And I, personally, would welcome her appearance. I'm not sure if she would hang around in Europe for two weeks just to play a one-off festival gig at Sziget. I guess it also depends on how much equipment her festival show would need and whether it is all needed in St Louis two days later to set up.
  11. Okay I understand I'm the last person you all want to hear from due to my previous pranks. Understand that I only did that to try and get Leaks to spill the beans. Not sure it worked. I am a Sziget fan. Been every year since 2017 and I've got to say that however you look at this first announcement it is awful. I'm sure we've all been listening to the many acts we've never heard of before and thinking we would go to see them. But ask yourself how many acts are you truly excited to see? I wonder if the under 21 offer has been too successful and left organisers with nowhere near as much income as previously. Or if the Hungarian hyper-inflation has impacted or are the bookers just really bad at striking deals? Where are the subs? Where are the headliners that can play stadiums? Where are the up and coming acts that will be massive by the time the festival arrives? There are some bloody fantastic acts around in August, how have they not been snapped up? How have smaller festivals snagged them and not Sziget? Feedback on the line up on socials has been and the customer is always right! Anyway, I'll disappear again and quit the pranks. Sorry for that.
