Thoughts on Calvin Harris’s new EP? Bit of a wild turn to his previous stuff...would love to know thoughts from people on this thread.

Pleasantly surprising! Obvious where the influences come from for Hypnagogic, production is as silky as a galaxy. I genuinely loved his first album with its sarcastic take on “the industry”. Disappeared up his own arse afterwards making paint by numbers trance. This is nice though.

*sidenote and shitty claim to fame, I used to play football with him at Secondary School. He was pish.

Not managed to catch them live yet so would be ideal if they're back again this year. Were they in William's Green last year? (apologies in advance for being lazy and not looking it up myself).

Aye, they were on Williams Green last year, that tent had a cracking line up (Fontaines/Shame/Amyl/Let's Eat Grandma).  Hopefully more of the same this summer!

I've been to the last two festivals, but this year is the first time by coach (took a chance to get tickets via coach sale and glad we did in the end!).

As I'm an old duffer, we've also booked Sticklinch, just wanted to check if the coach drops you anywhere near the pre-erected camping, has multiple stops or just drops you somewhere central and you make your own way across site? Although from memory this new area isn't that far from one of the main gates, any help would be fab :)

Someone emailed and asked if there were shuttle buses to Sticklinch and the answer was no (think it was posted on GlastChat), I'll try and find it and post a screenshot.  I think they consider it within walking distance of the Coach drop off

Never seen, or wanted haggis but I am sure black pudding is available but not in a roll! That’s a cultural think peculiar to us along with square slice sausage!

Cani beat a bit o square sausage on thickly buttered roll wi some HP, gourmet dining.

Welcome! There’s quite a colony of Scots on here. Most recent argument has been about rolls!  Please tell me you havnt started calling them buns!

Cheers Chris!  I'd never stoop so low as to call them buns, because they're obviously......baps?  Right? 😂😂.  Although it's always a breakfast roll from the greasy spoon, but a floury bap fey the posh bakery.  Have you ever came across anywhere onsite that does a breakfast roll with haggis/black pudding?  We usually just end up taking some macsweens and cooking it up, but would love to know if there's anywhere that does a coronary in a bun/roll/bap/ at glasto.

Boss news this that they’re playing again, dunno where they’d play, late afternoon / early evening on The Pyramid or headlining potentially John Peel? Would love to see them.

Edit: just had a little look, looks like it’s just a sister bliss DJ set ☹️ All fingers crossed though 🤞🏻

Ah shit, you’re right, seems it’s a Sister Bliss DJ set. Apologies for the disinformation. We Come One though, absolute belter!

    Go easy?!

This is the nicest thread, Scot! So you're very welcome.

I'd say that Faithless are a good shout to be somewhere on the Farm next year. Not sure it'll be Other, mind...

I think they rarely have dance bands that aren't headlining, and I can't see them headlining Other any more...

    Ben

Cheers Ben!  Followed this thread for a while now, and have been enjoying some of the recommendations.  Mostly fingers crossed for Caribou, Bicep - Live, Deni Sulta and Four Tet to be there next year.  In the meantime got a wee 3 night residency from Caribou to look forward to in March and been enjoying this from the Printworks

  8. Hi everyone!

First post, go easy on me 😆.  Been giving a lot of thought to who the classic 90's dance band (Chems/Underworld/Prodigy) might be on the Other/West Holts maybe this year.  Anyone reckon it might be Faithless?  They have announced a gig at a festival at beginning of July and just posted some highlights from their Glasto 2002 set.  They were also at the 40th Anniversary.  Thoughts?

  9. Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker, like almost 19 years, but first time poster.  YAY!  Finally!

Originally from Glasgow but living in Toronto now.  Went to Glasto in 97 and 2000 and tbh thought those days were behind me.  Through some wacky life circumstances ended up getting tickets for my wife and I (she's never been) in 2017.  Couldn't believe how much it had changed, but loved it.  Missed out last year and realised just how much we needed it in our life.  Got tickets for next year, so super excited to get back to the fields.

Feel like I spend half my life on this forum, so time to get involved.

    Cheers!
