Would be really happy to get Hot Chip. I've kind of written off getting anyone else I like added to the line-up so they would be very welcome.

Will be disappointed if we don't get anything prior to Easter. Got loads more to announce, it would make sense to give us these on a regular basis from here on in. It's 18 weeks until the festival begins and it's been six weeks since the last announcement, so I'd say we were due one pretty soon.

Just seen The Prodigy have announced a dozen or so gigs in the UK throughout July. Would love them to take a special guest slot on the island.

Well, Tuesday's announcement has already resulted in two lost ticket sales. We were coming with two other couples and one of the couples has dropped out this evening, even though they've already paid for their flights. Opinion is basically they know less than a dozen of the acts (this would only be their third festival so the idea of walking round as discovering acts is a little bit alien to them) and they don't necessarily like the acts they know. Shame.

I wonder how much his fee is compared to, say, booking Foals and Glass Animals 🤣

Three or four well known names? I think you're being very optimistic. One sub and that's it I'd say tbh. Maybe some others for A38 but unlikely to be well known judging by today's announcement.

Got to be honest and say thats a really poor announcement in my opinion. How can you have: three rock/indie headliners two pop headliners one dance headliner And then fill most of the other slots with dance acts? Seems unbalanced.

Would she be willing to drop to sub after headlining the last edition? Could she headline again? I'd be very surprised if she did, and it would cock up who we think is going to be announced tomorrow too. Mind you, I'd happily take her over Mr B.

We are in a position where we only KNOW one of the 30 acts being announced, but have a good idea about some of the others. I prefer that to knowing for certain. The excitement for announcement day remains.

Forgot the recent announcement that Future Islands are at Summer Well. Fingers crossed we get them too, this announcement or next. Such a great live band.

As much as I like them, I really can't see Gorrilaz being with us this year. However, I reckon Fred Again.. is as near as we can get to a cert at the moment. Would love Liam G to be there but can't see where he would fit if all our other guesses are correct. Think Maneskin are very likely to be there too. A38 headliner imho. Not big enough to sub. Suspect the rest of the announcement will be random acts I've never heard of, just like the first one.

The new Halsey album is excellent. Produced by Trent Reznor of NIN. She is headlining at Reading/Leeds at end of August. Would love to see her at Sziget.
