Met Office only showing fairly small chance of rain for Saturday, pretty much no chance of rain for Friday either. Surely Met office is one of the most reliable sources?

They added more chances that they had before. Before it was just couple of hours early morning.

    SATURDAY

So, how is the influence of the low starting to affect us?

Highs of 19. There is rain around, which doesn't arrive until 3pm and is present in showers through the evening - but nothing to be afraid of.

The low pressure is moving right on top of the UK again in this run.

It really feels the high is pushing here.

Monday is ages off. And we might be gone by then.

Or even better, miss it entirely 😁

Yeah, just by looking at the weather for Glastonbury instead of Pilton the value drop to 5mm on that day.

  4. The Nal's favourite, YR, is pushing slowly the rain back with no rain until Saturday afternoon (and just under 2 mm). Hopefully this will be the trend. The more far the rain is, the better chances we have to "fix" it.

Not sure where you’re looking at but BBC is showing dry every day, apart from up to a 28% chance of a shower mid afternoon Saturday!!!

Another time I was checking East Pilton. I am losing my mind seriously 😂

UKMO previous run (12Z) on left, and current (0Z) on right...big difference...

Interesting...  But one is for Saturday and the other one for Sunday no?

MetCheck has it cold and dry. Saturday and Sunday are going to feel very chilly.

Few extra layers needed for those nights and still very changeable conditions with a stiff breeze.

But generally looks like the rain is moving more into Saturday overall and in that predictions not that heavy. Hopefully as Friday is the busiest day for bands (at least for me).

    Anyway this is constantly changing.

Ok then, I've no idea what happened with the 18Z so this is going to be a surprise to me as we go through!

    WEDNESDAY MORNING - GATES OPEN

Dry right through to now, when it's warm with temps of 19.

    image.thumb.png.d72a1ef1978cc9d15def4dacf5b1b955.png

    PRESSURE DEVELOPMENT

Still an extremely consistent picture. Latest on the left.

Onto the first two days of the festival.

    WEDNESDAY

    Totally dry, highs of 24.

    image.thumb.png.bfcf1aa08789f40884698850ded1e1db.png

Still very good consistency on Wednesday.

    image.thumb.png.60a53749ba0bb2fe810504b9f61bdd32.png

    THURSDAY

    Totally dry, highs of 26.

    image.thumb.png.7e88ccce37cfeeb58681190c0b1cd2fa.png

Unfortunately we are starting to see consistency for the low pushing down on Thursday.

    image.thumb.png.5b406ae34d8265d6714bae5b346c7b3b.png

    FRIDAY

An improvement! Now a dry day with highs of 23! None of the rain hits the site.

    image.thumb.png.95aed0a8fd5910d5b94a987d93c0fa5d.png

But hang on a minute.... The bad news for the 00Z is that the low is worse. It's coming in deeper and more pronounced.

    image.thumb.png.6f8cb1a08685bf5b2b6feb78d31b0fa3.png

    SATURDAY

Chance of light rain, highs of 20.

    image.thumb.png.82648f109ddc4776d7f4362232efcfe8.png

A big trough of low pressure capturing the UK.

    image.thumb.png.caf9dc5c2f253986341f1a5ae1325f10.png

    SUNDAY

A small amount of rain hitting the site. Highs of 19.

Even though the low is fully here!

    SUMMARY

Strange. A good and bad update.

While the low is very much winning, the temperatures are decent with nothing more than showers.

Think it's starting to look pretty certain now the low will win - the question being what exactly it will mean.

Bad update for the low, good update for the outcome!

This is the update from the morning or last night? Your work is absolutely awesome, thank you for keeping us informed!
