Mickey Callisto - Totally bonkers space cadet who takes a big dose of Freddie Mercury and puts it with synth pop bangers. Will put a smile on your face even if you can’t stand the music. Watch out for dance routines and arse thrusting!

This sounds superb, thanks for the tip! Saw Faux Real last year after escaping from the rain and it was probably the most fun I had all weekend. This sounds... similar.

    Cheers!

That one is utterly, shckingly shameless.  I thought it must have been authorised, it's so similar, but apparently not!

EDIT: It's the drums which really seal the deal. Pretty much identical rhythm.

Volkswagen did this to Beach House too:

Apparently Beach House turned down an approach then an ad agency just found a soundalike band: https://www.spin.com/2012/05/beach-house-are-well-aware-car-ad-ripped-them/

Some of the bands have moved their days around on the GM website.

Apparently this is correct and a new day splits poster will be out soon.

Main one seems to be Mdou Moctar who have moved to the Friday.

Just had a quick look hoping they'd seen sense and were no longer clashing Kiwanuka with Parquet Courts. No such luck 😞

  4. Hi all, so last year was our first Green Man and we loved it so coming back this year. Quick question from me, we were aiming for Orange Car Park last year but were diverted as apparently traffic was really bad that side so ended up parking the other side (I think) of the festival - near the Settlers and in the kind of valley of a car park. Then when we walked in we walked past Accessible Camping (again I think) and camped up there.

This year, assuming we go in to the Orange Car Park as intended, will everything just be reversed? I.e. will we basically be entering the camp site from the other end? Thanks in advance!

Not tried them myself but they looked like really good fun in 2019 if you don't mind that you're visible to anyone walking past.

Thanks, we've gone ahead and booked the double decker bus one. Sure it'll be good (if just for the shower that's included!)

  6. So, pretty sure this is what people have said but just to be completely sure, when it comes to the listings:

THE RABBIT HOLE is the open tent near The Park where you can just walk in and out of (depending on crowds)?

And RABBIT HOLE'S FUNKINGHAM PALACE is the secret place you need to answer a riddle or follow a tunnel into - is that right?

That place was amazing and certainly sorted me out a couple of times!

I'm taking vodka and cans of tomato juice with the other ingredients in to Glastonbury.

There's definitely a place in T&C that does a phenomenonal Bloody Mary but might be a bit out of the way depending on where you are.

The Tree Cafe in the Park had a hatch on the side selling Bloody Marys out of it for a number of years.  But not sure if it's going to be there this year.

Thanks and thanks. I'll keep my eyes peeled for both of these!

Did try one of those pre-mixed cans on my way to the airport recently but (obviously) it's just not the same as made fresh. If I bump into Zeppelin or Rosie I'll ask you for a fresh one too 🙂

  8. At Green Man last year there was a bar doing fresh Bloody Marys - massive queue every morning but so worth it. Where am I best of looking for the same thing at Glasto next week? San Remo?

  9. Hey, so I've read on here people hoping Wheel Of Four Tunes would be back - but they're not on the line-up as far as I can see. I've never seen it before but is it something like this? These fellas are on at 5am on the Truth Stage on Fri night / Sat morning:

  10. If two people update the Clashfinder at the same time, does it "overwrite" someone's changes? It seems to keep losing stages on there. Acoustic was on a minute ago and now isn't... I guess I should just wait until it's settled down this evening but I can't!

I had the same. Still can’t track via Royal Mail so I’m guessing they will be collected today and either arrive tomorrow or Wednesday

Cheers. How do you try to track on Royal Mail?

Interested in the red wine box recommendations. I've grown tired of Namaqua over the years. I famously drink red wine from breakfast till dawn at festivals so it helps if it's nice. I like full bodied and a bit sweet not sickly. I used to love Zinfandel until it seemingly fell out of fashion and I can rarely find it at a sensible price. I often like a Merlot or a Shiraz.. but they do vary a lot in quality especially in boxes.

Bringing in beer or cider - excepting a few for fuel- is madness IMHO. Not worth the effort for all that water- and I prefer it fresh and cold from the bars anyway.

For decent red wine in a box Tesco do the 19 crimes stuff for £14. I'd recommend giving that a trial run, could be your answer. I'm a fan:

  13. I assume the Rabbit Hole line-up in this poster is for the Rabbit Hole bar that is now marked on the map near the Park, and not the secret Rabbit Hole you have to find yourself?
