One of the biggest behaviour changes, that we're still struggling with, is spacing out plans. We went to a gig yesterday as we somehow managed to avoid the Glastonbury covid so far, but that was a rescheduled one from last year. I wouldn't have booked it now.

Ahead of Kendal Calling we're selling our Phoebe Bridgers tickets for the Sunday before. In the past it wouldn't even cross our minds but its too much of a risk and like you say, lots of money lost if we catch it then.

This is exactly what I was thinking about earlier today, that I should've considered the possibility of catching Covid when I planned a move from Argentina to Spain, attending a massive festival and then flying to the Netherlands, all within a 3 week period, one week each event which means I got over jetlag during Glasto and now instead of unpacking and assembling furniture in Valencia I'm recovering from Covid hoping I'll test negative before my flight to Amsterdam on Thursday.

Should we all now buffer at least a 7 day gap between events just in case? Forget about spontaneous plans with others? Or maybe just go back to wearing a mask everywhere? 🤔

  2. Came home with mild symptoms that I had hoped were just a cold considering my sleeping bag was rubbish and I was cold most nights. Tested negative on Wednesday.

I've had a VERY sore throat and cold sweats for a couple of days, no fever. And now, at 3am I can't sleep because of the pain in my throat so I re-tested and yeah, very positive.

Can confirm the coated cauliflower bites from Mexican Seoul next to BBC Introducing are insanely good

I ordered this and they gave me wings instead (I wasn't paying attention and realised only after a first bite). The sauce is indeed delicious. I'm definitely going back.

  4. I have MS and after having had hyperacusis certain noises can really affect me. I'm feeling increasingly anxious and apprehensive about Glasto, not only about Covid but also about testing how sensitive to sound I will be now. I'm taking a box of this wax earplugs that saved my sanity and I totally recommend them to anyone who may need to "tone it all down a bit". They would work even to see gigs or walk through the farm since one can mould them to block all sound or not and it's a tiny box, easier to carry everywhere.

This is my third (or fourth? I don't remember) Glasto and the first one I'm not really excited about, these days are more about what I'll be able to cope with, plan and anticipate problems/solutions, spend a fortune on buying smaller and lighter camping equipment I could carry myself and questioning whether this is a good idea. Anyway ... back to checking the weather thread.

Been lucky enough to get tickets today, our 3rd year going..... this year we plan to take our children aged 12, 10 & 7 when we go.

we will be staying in a campervan in CV east (fingers crossed) so that we are near the kidz field and circus etc.

any tips to make it easier with them? Eg, should we take a trolley?

My son is blind so there fore we can have a disability pass. Haven’t a clue on how this all works, so any advice with that would be a huge help.

    TIA x

Have you considered parking your campervan in the accesible camping ground? It wouldn't be near the kidz field, circus, etc., but it might make it easier in other aspects, maybe?

You need to register with the Accessibility Team and they'll provide you with wristbands that would allow you use interstage shortcuts, disabled toilets, a shuttle bus between some areas and viewing platforms. As far as I know, that would be for the person with the disability and one PA only, but you might want to check with the Access Team to find out what happens when you are a family with other young kids.

    Take a look here: https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/

A lot of information on this .pdf too: https://cdn.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/2020-Access-Information-PDF.pdf

    blah blah blah bullshit bullshit

I have no idea how many devices were used to book my ticket. I will have to ask my butler, dahlink. I was busy taking a champagne bath and getting my feet rubbed with caviar when tickets went on sale yesterday.

And you are right, if I even bother flying to the festival in my helicopter I might ride my unicorn only to the backstage of the Pyramid Stage to have a glass of Crystal with Harry, Meghan and Archie. See you there, maybe?
