  1. don't think I had a chance. maybe too few tickets left after yesterday's sale. I was 15000th on the queue when I joined there on the second... and an hour later when I was at around 6000 it showed the Sold Out message.
    It'll be hard tomorrow...

I have to wait for tomorrow, as I want a day ticket. But I‘d appreciate feedback from people trying to buy today. Maybe there‘s some learnings, tricks and tweaks to help get through the booking process smoothly.

Totally in the same boat. Any experience from today will be very appreciated. Can I register/sign up somewhere in advance, are all tix digital or I should provide address for physical delivery, how fast tickets sell out (is it Radiohead in Roundhouse fast or a bit better) etc. etc.

  3. I presume they'll say exact hour when passes will be on sale... Anyone with experience from previous years? All tix will fly in a matter of minutes... especially for that NIN day.

Booking hotel in Nantes sounds like a very good idea though. I can do this while I wait for July 8th:)

I saw NIN at Rock am ring 2014 right after Queens of the Stone Age on the second stage quite late at night. Pretty good gig, but the audience was just lame. Had the impression they weren't really happy with the turnout.

I choose Rock im Park this year and it was absolutely the same.
I was just coming from 4 back-to-back arena shows in the UK and the difference in quality and band enjoyment was obvious.  In 2014 they had only two festivals I believe... RaR/RiP and Primavera.

As stated before, this is almost definitely taken from a press release sent to media partners. Really no sense in questioning this. And a festival like Hellfest will insist on the exclusivity.

I fully understand NIN for going Hellfest exclusive. They've always had problems when touring festivals in Europe... Reading didn't allow for all their production on stage, Pukkelpop and some other fests placed them very strange in the line up (subbing for Eminem comes to mind). Last time NIN were in Europe, the shows were very stripped down in terms of production and I believe this is the reason they played few festivals... including Mad Cool.

If Hellfest offer them to curate the stage line up and agree to all production requirements, it's just a matter of an additional fee for Trent & Atticus to happily discard all other festivals in Europe.

I still believe they'll have some dedicated headline shows in 2022 though. Not sure from where the 2023 tour rumor is coming from.  Still we will not have info for any of those before the Hellfest tickets go on sale.

  6. Does anyone heard something about Puscifer?
They were in the Hellfest leak, but not in the final announcement. Still this day indicated (+1 band)...
Novarock and Mad Cool also didn't announce them. Probably Maynard has other plans for next year (insert sad face here).

People are like "Waouh" because there are 7 days, more than 350 bands. But the best metal festival ever?! I don't think so. The Main Stages are indeed not so incredible, especially on the second weekend where you see Metallica and Guns N Roses took lot of the budget. Maybe Nine Inch Nails too. Bands like AirbourneBlack Label Society or Ministry sub on the Main Stage 1?! Warduna headliner of Main Stage 2?! Honestly, not really interested in going there. And I'm not the only one. But there are so much hype around Hellfest with tickets selling so fast. It's like the Wacken 10 years ago... And Graspop won't compete this. They can't have Metallica because of Werchter. They already had Guns N Roses in 2018 with a 4-days edition (before Hellfest do it). The line-up of Graspop 2022 will look a lot like the line-up announced for 2020-2021, which is comparable of the first weekend of Hellfest. And about the first weekend, Deftones as headliner is a bit cheap.

    Can't say I agree...
For example: I'm very into metal and this festival definitely doesn't do it for me. Dead bands (for me at least) like Guns, Scorpions, Judas, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper etc. etc. etc. throw me off completely.
On the other hand Deftones finally get the recognition and the well deserved headline spot. The NIN booking is right on the money... and if it's actually Europe exclusive, this would be very big deal and I'll buy the day ticket.
What I want to say is that as a collection of Rock/Metal acts, this line up has something for everyone. I'm 35 and haven't seen such a ting. Definitely the biggest and probably one of the most important rock event in ages.

  8. Unlike the lineups for 2022, this year we pretty much know what bands are willing and available to play in that time window.

Pukkelpop most likely will share names with Reading and Lowlands... Liam, BMTH, Stormzy, Denzel Curry etc... not bad names and considering the dry summer we're having, it'll be а great event for most (me included). Even if Combi tickets sold out, I'm willing to buy day tickets and fly to Belgium for that. I managed to get tickets for Reading, but I'm still cautious as UK prolonged the restrictions. Even if they lift them I could have to quarantine + pay hundreds of pounds for PCRs.

If Pukkelpop happens to be the my only festival experience - I'll take it even if I frankenstein the Combi with day tickets or try the second market and pay more.

(I'm tired of getting excited for events 12 months away...)

  9. Everybody are so sure of Muse playing without any letter reveal. Could it be Korn, Beck, Lorde..? (just a thought) Anyway, compared to Mumford & Sons from 2021 line up, I'm taking Muse every day of the week:)

I hope letter today is N or E... or something that would confirm Deftones.
Again, provided Hellfest leak is correct I would expect Puscifer to be rebooked again and the possibility of NIN returning is definitely exciting.

  10. Yes, seems like there will be concerts/events end of the summer.
I hope they lift the quarantine for fully vaccinated people coming from other EU countries till August. I'm sure there are many cases like mine... I do have the 2 jabs but still have to quarantine and to have two tests when I enter the UK://

I also hope the organizers were watching the Glasto stream this weekend and bring the "Special guests" over to RandL 😄😄😄

The lineup went down pretty well so I'm surprised most of the talk since is about who will be added. When the lineup is 95% done, as it is now, it's usually just a couple of acts added to the bottom of some stages, isn't it? The types who don't even get an announcement. Competition winners and such.

Is this 95% of the line up...?
If so, this would mean that the second main stage will replace the "Festival republic" stage? Pit/Lock up will operate on Friday and Saturday and rebrand to "Festival republic" for the last day? yes/no?
Also, what's happening to the big tent (BBC 1, old NME) stage? Does this new second main stage replaces this one too?

Sorry If this was discussed before, but I'm kinda lost with this stage setup. I've been twice on the festival ('14 & '17) so things could have changed since. I'm curious to see the updated festival ground map though.

Sign up to Live Nation and they have a free pre-sale tomorrow

Unfortunately I don't have friends on O2, so I'll queueing today for Leeds as well:) I expect the standing to sell out in seconds...

There's supposed to be a venue presale at noon for Leeds as well, but couldn't find info on that...

  13. what was I thinking not buying tix for the festival this year... hope that in time I'll be able to find a decent priced pair of tix:)

I'm quite curious how the line up will look in the end.
I feel that there will be some changes in the headline slots but we'll see

  14. Just realized that there is one day gab in the festival - Saturday, Sunday... Tuesday, hahaha
First time seeing such thing, but hey - anything is possible "...in the name of" getting ratm:))))

Could become interesting if they don't mess up the line up like Reading did.
Any of you been on this one? I've heard stories of it being generally boring festival both in terms of atmosphere and crowd... Also, is it really 120 000 capacity, jesus, this used to be one of the small EU fests:)

With the disappointment that is the lolla berlin line-up, leeds has the best line-up ft ratm. Unbelievable

Lolla Berlin announcement is not a surprise to me. Similar in quality every year. RATM are the surprise :)

Still struggling with this LandR line up though... I've been to Reading 2014 and 2017 and every year I'm like: "If they pull out good (for my taste) headline acts - We're going! Undercard is very diverse and always good. Like ALWAYS! Organisation and festival spirit are perfect. Plus, for us this is a trip to UK..:)"

And now... we have very solid (and one amazing) headliners and I'm still not convinced:/ I definitely need 2-3 more solid bands but at this stage I don't see where they can fit. Main stage is almost full and I don't think there will be a huge name there. Dunno...

I'll decide next month (probably will go)

P.S. Please no Die Antwoord, please no!

  16. where is this Eminem rumor coming from? Yes, there's this new album, but absolutely nothing else, right?
I can understand the (unrealistic) hopes for RATM. They're back together, they will play in the US, they said they'll not tour Europe... still in forums like this people can hope for one exclusive show.
    Eminem - why?

To add to my above comment - I love rock and Metal but i listened to his most recent album (i have teenage kids) and its really actually dare i say it...............quite good!

We all have to also consider  - its not 1994 anymore!

Graspop Metal Meeting don't think so. For them It's definitely 1994. Actually dare i say it.................. 1989 hahaha

Anyway, we'll see what will the line up bring. Lot of competition to get our savings for concerts:) Most of mine are going towards Deftones  (no GMM) so we'll see.
P.S. I'm now starting more and more to compare RW with Mad Cool for some reason.

  18. The Voidz / Modeslektor clash on the first night is veeery unpleasant... for me at least.
Thom Yorke is just before Modeselektor. Do you think there's a chance for him appearing on their stage?
Other than that... looks pretty cool.
    See you there! ❤️

  19. poor announcement, yeah... but hey, this is one of the best line ups this summer (to me at least).

things are not like they were some 8-10 years ago when there were total of about 10-15 festivals in whole Europe. Now they're hundreds...!! and all sharing pretty much the same amount of decent acts. Major headliners/artists now tour pretty much every year and still most lineups feel incomplete and or underwhelming. Look at Nos. Fib, Reading and so on and so on...
The biggest festivals that used to sell out by Feb./Mar. like Werchter, Rock am Ring, Primavera etc. etc. still have tickets even with stellar line ups.

We will see how the festival scene will evolve in the next years but definitely things will change in one direction or another...
