I have done 21 out of last 22 so hoping to keep the run going. Not missed since 1997.
Great stuff. I had a straight run from 2000-2022 - I think that’s 17? Until I had a bike accident this May and had to return my ticket. So hard watching from home / especially when the weather looked so great

Is there anything on The Thingy about the announcement of T-Day over the years? I can’t find it

"Meet you between the two bushes" has been our meet point for 20+ years. Great to get stood just on the right bit before the dip behind. Bit of an increase in gradient meaning a good view.
I must have stood in front of you a good few times then 😊

one wasn't .... it was pulled over by a tractor before the festival while caught up by a muck spreading hose I think , before this years festival
Noooo! I think I’m right in saying it’s been there as long as the festival - seem to remember seeing it in early photos of the field. That other bush is going to be hella busy in the future ….

You know the one? Well 2 actually. We always use the one closest to the stage as our meeting/viewpoint.
Well we were down there over the weekend and it would appear it either been removed or raised to the ground. Anyone know when this happened? I wasn’t there this year due to a last minute injury but I’m assuming it was there during the festival

Ah thanks @gfa I only had one spare (I’m going) but looks like my daughter can make it now.
i had a reply from TM which is a great example of their arrogance and ‘we’ll do whatever we like so f*** you’ attitude:
We’ll provide the option to transfer eTickets whenever we can, but it isn’t available for every event at the moment – it can vary depending on the event.
If you don’t see the option in your account, this means that the transfer facility isn’t currently available. It may be made available nearer the time, but unfortunately this isn’t something we can guarantee or confirm in advance – we can only advise to keep checking back to your account.
If transfer isn’t available, this means that your entire group will need to arrive together for the event and the tickets can only be accessed from your account.
None of this suggests it’s anything external like the promoter or the venue not wanting transfers. It’s basically ‘if we fancy it we’ll let you transfer if not - tough. Nothing you can do about it and we won’t warn you what we’re doing’. I’d love to stop using them but See and AXS often don’t have the tickets. I used to love Stargreen - little and very customer focussed but they had the big tickets. Those days are gone though, sadly.

Ticketmaster have been doing this for years. Resale and transfer go on and off at thier whim it seems.
The reminder yesterday morning gave a link to how the phone app works as a ticket and specifically said that it allows transfer - not ‘for some acts’. I was buying 1975 for my daughter on AXS last month and noticed they specifically said they weren’t transferable so used See instead. They really should highlight it. In fact when I bought these tickets they were going to be physical. This changed a few weeks later. F*** ing crooks

Can anyone tell me why resale and transfer aren’t available for the Gang of Youths gig at Here @ Outernet tonight? Sold out so seems odd. And annoying.

One quick question that I know is in these 117 pages - probably several times - but it's late and I can't find it, so hoping someone who's still up can rattle off the answer:
If, when you submit the registration/zip codes page, someone's code has already been used/is in use, how is that information displayed and how easy is it to delete them? Do you have to go back a pager is it just a question of removing them on that page there and then, and re-submitting?

Something changed at See's end mid-sale.
At 1803 DNS was resolving to 5 servers on 31.x.x.x IPs.......at 1829 DNS was resolving to 5 servers on 167.x.x.x IP's.
I didn't check when they changed as I was too busy mashing F5 but it's *possible* that they had big issues and failed over to a separate platform to fix it.
*If* that was the case then a lot of us may have been stuck with DNS cache pointing to the 'failed' IPs....at least until they timed out or were flushed manually.
Just a theory...but something odd did happen.
DNS now has them back on the 31.x.x.x IPs as at the start.
Yep, very odd. I had 7 different browsers refreshing and none would finish loading for 6 or 7 minutes, then they failed and asked to be reloaded. Then at about 6:08 they alls tarted removing themselves. But some people were clearly helping themselves during that time so can't have been refreshing the same thing that my browsers were?

Gap from announcement until coach sale:
2020 - 16 days
2019 - 17
2017 - 24
2016 - 13
2015 - 14
2014 - 17
We're now 15 days away from most probable coach sale date.
2022 - 41 days 😳
2020 - 16
2019 - 17
2017 - 24
2016 - 13
2015 - 14
2014 - 17
Just seems weird they'd post the dates to fit the usual pattern for a 15 day lag then announce it's a month later. Maybe they got sick how long this thread was and did it to shut us up ... In which case it hasn't worked 🤔

Just checked the official twitter account and in 2019 they announced the 2020 sale at 3:48pm. Guess it could be any time really
I think if they announce it today we know what they’re going to say about the date. If they don’t then it suggests there might be a change to the usual pattern or maybe to the payment method?

2016 was the last time the coach sale was on the 6th Oct so this suggests the announcement was on the 23rd - tomorrow's date.
Interestingly, my diary show that in 2010 the main sale was on 3rd October. That would have meant coach sale was in September. Or was there no separate coach sale at that time?

AXS ones can definitely be transferred. True for both this w/e and last.
Yes but why doesn’t Ticketswap allow AXS tickets to be sold? During the Commonwealth Games Ticketswap was great - they carried on allowing ticket resale after the official platform had been taken down and Twickets were instructed to stop resale. So I’m surprised if they’d be more careful than Twickets. Maybe their system doesn’t allow them to differentiate between the 2 types and Twickets does.

Totally agree with this. Using the Pyramid screens as an extension of your art is just self indulgent. Most people can't see you on the stage (at least not well enough) so you really need to get off your high horse and use the screens in a way that will please the large majority of the crowd - not just the uber fans in the 'golden circle'
