I like them - they do look really great when you are in the huge crowd and see them around you.

    Agree, they should be compulsory.

Correct, obviously not that new...I haven't seen him for a while.

I agree dark side is overrated. Wall at it's best is magnificent, but I rarely sit down and listen to it all. And I can't be arsed with the last few songs.

Wish you were here and Animals for me.

    Agree with this,

Wish you were here , ahead of Animals followed by The Wall and Dark Side

Pretty much the playlist of my adolescence with  the 3 Hendrix and 3 Cream albums thrown in.

You're not alone there, don't worry.

Check your Grandmother's record collection, and somewhere between Neil Diamond's Hot August Night, and Saturday Night Fever you'll see this:

    I like it too.

They headlined JPT last time (and were great) - hope they don't get stranded in mid-afternoon Other-ness

They were excellent too, beautiful closing to 2014

  7. Little known Melbourne band with a cult following  Peep Tempel.

Very Aussie, (look at the lead guitarists face!) But great live.

Will never make it to Glastonbury, but they would carve it up.

They have a song called Carol which is their anthem, the chorus is

"I don't think Trevor is good for you - Carol!"

But try this one Big Fish

and now the man from U.N.C.L.E has died; this year had certainly been dog w*nk.

my father in law passed away in July,  mother in law fell over and broke her hip in september.

On the yang side, mu daughter graduated and is now flourishing as a nurse :)

    I love a flourishing nurse

    Congratulations

  9. Should be a a targetted resale offer to people who have over a 1000 hits on a Glastonbury festival forum.

Shouldn't be that hard - my phone sends me stories about Glastonbury town parking issues and lost cats based on my most frequently  searched terms (and I read them)

  10. We're trying to get 6 tix bit missed out on coach tickets.

A trip back  to UK hinges on success so we are very invested.

So anyone who is already sorted but wants to help us it would be greatly appreciated.

Will make it worth someones while if successful.

  11. It was interesting coming from Australia to 2016 Glasto. Especially the Brexit vote and sensing the devastation in everyone. It was quite surreal being in the bubble that was the festival and hearing about the world falling apart outside.

Having said that it was an amazing experience and capped off with Coldplay with the light show, tribute to the young band,  the wrist bands Barry Gibb and Michael Eavis singing My Way....what a way to close it out!

  12. Best - loved Jack White into Metallica 2014 and Elbow into Arcade Fire

Surprisingly Good - Cold Play...not much of a fan but the Barry Gibb move was amazing. London Grammar were brilliant closing John Peel in 2014.

Worst - sitting through Lana Del Ray....don't  get it. Every song the same...and not that good.

Most Disappointing - Black Keys 2014...sound was awful, when you can't hear the guitar in a 2 piece you're in trouble.

And people complain*** about the cost of Glastonbury tickets, £230 for non-stop entertainment which includes at least 20 bands that ask for £50 or more a ticket.

Like you good self though, I'll still end up paying it.

*** no one that's been actually complains about the cost mind.

Agree...I can't believe what good value it is to be honest.....what else can you spend 230 quid on and get that much happiness? (Sustained happiness that is)
