  1. In my mind I was expecting Midnights to be Folklore/Evermore but with added pop...and upon reflection, I guess that's pretty much what a Lover Pt.2 would be.

My wish would be Folklore/Evermore but with added soft rock vibes.

  2. Could the fairly steep rise in ticket price perhaps be part of an effort to subsidise food stalls etc? Perhaps to try and keep their pitch fees down so that they're not having to pass on the higher costs to the customer while there?

The food is already a pretty penny (nothing new for any festival) but the time of being charged £12 for sausage and mash won't be far off with costs going the way they are.

Granted, the food options at Glastonbury are substantially better than most festivals.

  3. I do wonder if she doesn't want to do Superbowl until all the albums are re-recorded cause at that kind of event, it would be a medley of all her hits and she wouldn't want people to then go out and buy the versions that are not hers off the back of it,

  4. Saw George Ezra last night in Glasgow, was pretty decent, though he did lose me in the middle a bit. I really only know the stuff he's released as singles.

What was odd through, was for an arena gig, there was something very festival about it and can't quite put my finger on why, but great atmosphere all round.

Only problem with acts that have mass market appeal is the crowd they tend to draw. People that are just going cause he's the fella that does that song they like. They just go for a jolly, get steaming and annoy everyone else.

Yeah - was a blast. They're such a fun band.  Good to see The Steps as an encore closer - recognition that its a Grade A banger.

Totally, Now I'm In It opening and The Steps closing was just brilliant. Also, had no idea Este could sing like that when she was belting out 3AM 😃

Made a trip to see Jurassic World: Dominion last night. Just reminded me of half a dozen films I rather would've been watching, with a lot of boring bits and unintentionally hilarious ones. One or two scenes were very well done and it looked nice, but felt like a downgrade on the last Jurassic World movie.

I'm a fan of the Jurassic series, with the original being my favourite film of all time. I am bit biased towards them and find myself defending the lesser good ones. However, Dominion was the first time I sat in the cinema watching a Jurassic movie and found myself thinking "This is not very good..."

  7. I went on Friday. It wasn't full of as many bams as I was expecting, was a pretty chilled atmosphere. Though maybe I was just at the quiet side haha

Never queued too long to get in or for a drink/food. Food prices were obscene though. £12 for a little cardboard tray of katsu curry.

I just went along with a friend who wanted to go so wasn't particularly a fan of anyone on the line-up. I enjoyed Sam Fender, would probably give him a listen now after seeing him live.

In my opinion, Paolo Nutini is not a headliner. He's great at what he does but there's just no showmanship or commanding of the crowd. It all just felt a bit flat.

Revisiting the Solar Power album and its immediately striking how much more vibrant the live versions of songs like The Path and California are than the studio versions.

She needs to do a live album.

Wasn't a fan of the album when it came out but gone back to it since seeing her Glastonbury set and find myself enjoying it a lot more.

  9. Is not having to say goodbye to the farm this morning.

Hope everyone had the time of the their lives and remember you have all those sets on iPlayer to re-live to ease the post Glasto blues.

    Safest travels home!

There’s just no place like it.

  10. Just don't do it at the Glastonbury sign on the Wednesday afternoon. In 2019 we witnessed 6 proposals in a 1 hour period. Every so often you'd just hear cheers, turn around and another guy was down on one knee with a ring in hand. I feel like after the first one I'd be like "Nah, I'll do it another time".
