Unless you want to camp in the popular areas there is no real point in going early. If you turn up on Wednesday after midday you'll typically not experience any queueing at all and there is still plenty of camping space to be had.

Quick question to confirm I understand correctly. We have 2 tentative in our group, if they pay their balance I think they can get a refund up until 5th May, correct? The refund protection is only needed beyond that date if I understand correctly.
Is my understanding correct?

This year will be my 7th and I've only managed to get tickets in the main sale twice, so stay positive

First Glasto was 2014 and been to every one since. Joined here in 2016 after lurking for a bit. Don't post that often but do visit regularly.

Your mate could park in normal parking and enter with you through gate D then enter sticklinch from the site. Bit of a trek for her though.

2 person scout up from 325 to 400 quid! Jeeez that's a massive hike isn't it, can only assume a chunk of that is from the company that supplies the tents given CV has only gone up by 25 quid.

Robbie Williams mentioned glasto in an interview with Zane Lowe. By efests standards that means he is nailed on for the legend slot.

The current system has its flaws but I personally think it's the best way to do it. Failed payments is definitely something they need to fix going forward, which seems to have gotten worse with having to approve the transaction with your bank. I've never had any failed payments before or after this change (first direct) so it's either bank related or luck.
I'd hate a ballot system, having absolutely no influence on whether you get one or not is worse than failing in the sale where you at least have some influence on your success.
Deep down we all love the chaos of it all.

Couldn't even get the holding page to load for the first 20 minutes, then put reg details in and it said all tickets allocated (think that was about 9.25). Got all 8 for our group at 9.50 ish, buzzing!
