Saw Catfish in Birmingham the other night.
no Tyrants or Business on the setlist, fuming. Nah I’ve seen them twice this year now and both times they’ve put on a really solid performance. Wouldn’t be one of my personal choices for headliner but they’d do well in a co-head or something.
They are so dire

Twenty One Pilots seem to be about at the right time, which is both surprising, and also giving me hope at the same time. Thought they might give it a miss next summer.
I have the exact same feelings

There last gig in London was Ally Pally and I assume they sold it out, suppose I have no way of judging these things other than on here and word of mouth. its just the idea of The Wombats headlining festival is strange to me (I do like them btw) and that is just the age we are in now. I felt the same way about The Kooks and still do not believe they are big enough to headline but that is the point of a strong under card I guess.

Saw Vampire Weekend at EartH earlier this year and thought it was a brilliant little venue, can't imagine what Foals would have been like there.
It only opened last year as well, great to see new venues opening and given support by bands!
Foals played in a different/smaller room to Vampire weekend!

Don't know anything about who is coheadlining with who, although you've got to think that Bring Me the Horizon would be one of the coheadliners.
Yep I assume so.
Makes sense, as they are still touring next summer, have only played a couple of UK shows since releasing the new album. A big co-headline show to finish that album cycle.

Hey guys, aware that being a new guy this might come across as trolling, but I have it on excellent authority that R&L have booked The Strokes, Stormzy, Travis Scott and Bring Me the Horizon to headline the festival next year. I'd rather not share my source as I don't want to get them into trouble, but it's a very close friend who I know wouldn't relay false info. Just thought I'd pass it on, understand scepticism but I am certain that those are the headliners.
Sounds believable

Could it be alphabetical order? Or is that stupid... i.e my email begins with V and I haven't got it
I called up HoV and they confirmed emails are rolling out slowly and they had a high demand on applicants.
I should've suggested to just send a text string email rather than an image and upgraded their internet when I was on the phone

God you're right, although I think that year we saw them in London. I'm losing track, seen them 3 times this year!
It was guildhall in November 15, then Wembley in Feb 16 I think. (Announced at different times). I'm at 3 or 4 this year too

Read the last 20 pages and everyone forgot to include vinyl rotations in their spotify/youtube listens/hits

I assume they played Guildhall? I started UoS in 2012, missed the Holy Fire gig there and they haven't returned since ☹️ (yes, I'm still here unfortunately!)
They played Guildhall in 2015

Perhaps, or it's a deliberately smaller tour due to big summer plans
Maybe TRNSMT and Glasto?

The Kooks remain the worst set I’ve ever seen at R&L. And Catfish are one of the worst headliners I’ve ever seen at a festival (Citadel this year). So they’re both probably likely.
100% agreed with both statements. No clue why Catfish got to headline three festivals in london three years in a row

This was a great festival moment. Please tell me it only happened at Leeds for once?
Leeds also got Dave Grohl daughter singing Best of You with her Dad too which was great moment too
The person that said "who even is that?" hahahha

Did anyone see that idiot that climbed the sound tower during Foos yesterday? What a knob, started doing some parkour swinging shit on the way down too.

Leeds was a bit of a nightmare for most of today. It was scorching and lots of vendors were running out of water mid afternoon and the queues for the water stations were approaching an hour (I waited just over 55 minutes to fill my couple of bottles).
Overall it was a great weekend and I’ll post some comments later on sometime on the sets I saw.
The biggest downer of the weekend was of course the young girl who died and who I assume was the girl a few feet away from me fitting on Friday at the main stage. Awful, awful stuff.
Reading was really good for water. At all the stages the security was filling up people's bottles quickly. Was a new queue system for refill stations too

I've never seen so many phones at reading festival
