I wouldn't pay to see any of the announced headliners in their own concert on a stadium or arena, maybe except Stormzy.
And if I'd like to see undercard acts, I'd go to a 100 euros festival. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a better 2nd wave announcement.

If The Strokes will say 'Yes', will they be the "rock" headliners or is Sziget planning to book another rock act as headliners?

On a scale of 0 to 10, how excited do you predict this forum is going to be after tomorrow's lineup announcement?

So the Lidl is not actually in the village? I thought at first they just say you can't bring your own so people have to buy their alcohol from the Lidl but now I'm thinking that isn;t the case... Kinda wish I'd know this before buying my ticket.
According to this year's festival map, there were Royal Camping, Royal Showers and Royal Breakfast by Lidl at the "Camping Experiences" but the Lidl Royal Market is inside the festival area

yeah... I don't fancy paying 5EUR+ and walking into the festival site every time I want a drink though! Ha Seems quite greedy for them to force people to do that tbh...
So the Lidl, does that usually sell alcohol that people can take to the camp site? Otherwise the camp site is gonna be a pretty boring and/or expensive place to be if you want to have a few drinks during the night!
According to the FAQ, at EC Village (that's how they call the campsite), you can't bring in alcohol.
However you can try sneak it in but I don't recommend that 😁

I think the surprise headliner is CM Punk
On a more serious note, Chance the Rapper is also from Chicago.

For the 5th picture I'm also thinking about this but hairstyles do not really match:

Bootsy Collins, funk legend?

Someone wrote on Sziget's facebook post that from these clues only 2 acts are using instruments & that's worrying for a live music festival. I have to agree with him tbh.

It's jamie xx then. Saw him last years at Electric Castle, I wasn't impressed. 😔 I'd prefer The xx instead, that would be cool.

#3 is Marshmello I guess. Or Jamie xx?
Edit: Marshmello because the Lollipop

Well, if it's Pearl Jam the big act for Mad Cool, then they will definitely won't be part of Sziget's announcement, as we know we won't get a rock headliner this time.

They have to hype it up, every festival does it. If they said “next announcement is sh*te, don’t even bother checking it out” they wouldn’t sell a single ticket, would they?
Yeah, I agree. They either try milking the cow despite the ticket prices are still lower or they really have a bigger act as an ace under their sleeves and that might make the lineup look "huge".
We know from Leaks that Sziget will announce about 3 OR 4 headliners, so if they share someone or some big band with Mad Cool, than this could be the missing 4th one that we don't know about.
I hope for the best. 😁

After teasing the idea of coming to EC for a while, I've decided to make the trip next year as the line up is pretty sick.
I was wondering a few things about the festival:
it says on the website that no alcohol is allowed into the camp site. Do they sell it at the Lidl that's there? If not it's gonna cost a fortune to drink! Ha
also, I've read mixed things about the weather. I would imagine it'd be hot and uncomfortable to camp, but some people are saying it always rains and it's cold? I'm British so I don't mind that, just wondering which is most likely to be true!
cheers in advance 😊
You can buy drinks inside the festival. Lidl has a few but there are bars inside the festival area and also 1 or 2 beer gardens. But yeah, I think for safety measures you're not allowed to bring drinks at the camping area (I never camped myself there, I always rent accomodation in the city of Cluj and take the buses to the festival from Iulius Mall). You're also not allowed to bring drinks inside the festival from outside. And if you have bottles of water or juices with you, they will take them away from you if you already opened them. If the bottles weren't already open, you will able to take them inside the festival.
Regarding the weather, they had issues with the rain few years ago because it was full of mud but at the past 2-3 editions they didn't have problems like this. Maybe it's a bit cold during the nights. On average, I'd say that during the day is around 25 degrees C and during the night it can get to 10-15 degrees C. The weather is kinda unpredictable there, so there could be days when it can also get to over 30 degrees C during the day.

Why would they threaten cancellation?
Stupid contractual agreements between parties, I guess.
And the festival might also decide not to leak everything and leave some surprises for the announcement because otherwise everyone will buy the tickets when they're cheaper and not after the price increase.

There are also quite a few guesses that 'Leaks' hasn't responded to. Let's face it, he doesn't want us to know everyone. He's, once again, played a good game.
Well, I guess some acts want / allow to get leaked meanwhile others might threaten with cancellation if they get leaked.

Mad Cool also announcing on Tuesday and I'm confident one of Europe's biggest festivals (Sziget) didn't have their announcement postponed to come out with a line-up like everyone else's. Who are we waiting for?
Eminem
haha, just kidding... but would be cool

Stormzy would have been given the 19:30 slot at the cancelled 2020 edition

At this point I believe we'll get some headliners, some subs and a bunch of Hungarian names.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Azahriah headline.

Stormzy headlining? I know that Sziget has way more British visitors than few years ago but I don't think he's that popular in the area, that's why he was not a headliner at previous Sziget editions.

Sziget Festival 2024
in overseas festivals

The announcement seems to be as worse as the first wave of the 2017 lineup announcement. Back then Sziget came with these names: Bad Religion, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DJ Shadow, GTA, GusGus, Kensington, Mac DeMarco, Major Lazer, Oh Wonder, Oliver Heldens, Tom Odell, Two Door Cinema Club, Vince Staples, W&W
Both were anniversary Sziget editions 😁
