Anyone who changed their address in the last couple of years got theirs? I’m wondering if changing mine has put me further back in their database.

Looking for any logical method to the distribution

I changed my address 2 weeks before balance week, had my tickets since Tuesday last week.

Shania at Coachella has left me no doubts that she'd be an absolute vibe for the 2023 legends slot.

Would open up the slot to a lower tier of ‘ not legends but quite big for a few years 20 years ago’ acts, which they will have to do at some point.

Those things aren't mutually exclusive. Just because you'd prefer to avoid the inconvenience doesn't mean you don't support workers rights.

Sure as hell makes it impossible to be pissed off that you are being fucked about,

Regarding Royal Mail Tracker....it has a little comment under the link saying the tracking link might not work until an attempted delivery has been made - which seems a bit pointless.

It’s starts to work once they are in the system

Hopefully the bars wont be a ripoff having had 2 years off, the festival is all very socialist etc until someone has the opportunity to serve you up a cup of beer and wants £6 for it!

I do wonder, as possibly the only festival left that lets you bring in however much booze you want and walk around with it sans restrictions, why anyone bothers with the normal bars. A few Brothers ciders aren't too bad, but i bet they are no longer on offer anymore either.

Not everyone want to carry a crate of beer around with them all day. Start the day with 3 or 4 cans that I can be bothered carrying, then switch to the bars. Plus I’d rather my money went to some local run bars than a huge uncaring supermarket.

The testing stations I've seen here are $175 for a next day result. Problem is I fly on a Monday and they seem to be closed on Sunday. The test needs to be within 1 day of travel so I'd have to pay for a test the day I fly and use the urgent 6hr service. $325 😳

Wowsers, I had to pay for testing a couple of times last year for some travels and thought 90 euros was a rip off, and that was for same day results, on one occasion I had the results before I’d even got home from the testing station.

Yep, i'd be all over this if I needed one. If I had the means I think I'd spend up to perhaps £1000 to go to Glastonbury as a last resort if I grafted for the funds. Solely because I still believe it's excellent value for money!

Wowzers, not a chance I’d pay that much for Glastonbury, that said I did spend best part of £1200 going to the England v Ukraine game in Rome last year so who knows what you will spend when it comes to it.

  8. This whole collect from the box office thing will be a complete and utter cluster fuck, how are people in CVs supposed to get past the rest of the CV traffic on the Tuesday to pick up their tickets at gate A? If you are travelling from Dover you would just join the A37 at podimore and get in the queue for CVE, or get off the A303 at Wincanton and head up to B&W if that’s your destination, now you have to sit in that traffic to go past where you want to go to sit in another queue to pick up your tickets, then another queue to get into the CV fields. Not great planning.

only real way around from that direction is via Frome and Shepton Mallet but you will still hit traffic coming down from Bristol.

plus side is they will only do this once, it will cause so much grief they will be forced to sort it for 2023.

  9. Arrived! Whoop Whoop.

need to do a FaceTime with my parents to check they are all present and correct, but It feels so good to have the tickets, especially after a 2 year wait.

tbf... The facilities are as good as the vehicles that the punters bring....

If i want a bacon roll and a cup of tea in the morning, i make them in my caravan... I have never used the food vans in CVE.

If i need a pee in the night, i use the toilet in my caravan (not a lenor bottle)... The portaloos are cleaned every morning around 7am (They may be cleaned again later but I, like everyone else, am not there... I am in the festival

There are in fact hundreds of showers in the CV fields.. Its just up to the vehicle owners if they use (or want to share 😲) them

I love being there on a Tuesday & Wednesday as it is like a camping trip with mostly lovely, like minded neighbours.. BBQ's and drinking with friends..

I will miss it this year but i am sure that any newbie will think they have picked the correct option when they are standing on the Hill of Death (Slope of Mild Inconvenience) on Tuesday night with a drink in hand, getting a real buzz about the entertainment to come down in the valley...

    Vote CVE.!

Could have just saved yourself some effort and written ‘I’m alright jack’

not everyone has toilet/shower/3 course meal cooking facilities, for those that do it’s fine, for those that don’t the facilities are a few steps down from what’s available elsewhere in the festival. I don’t understand why this is so contravercial.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

could be improved just by swapping  out some of the turdices for composting toilets and cleaning everything more regularly,

  11. I’ve done a worthers original vodka, been maturing in the fridge for a month or so, added some caramel as well. It’s nice enough but a bit sickly. Probably just stick to cider for the festival.

I'm not sure you are giving a fair picture of the comparable facilities at Glasto.  Dont want virgin CVers to think they are missing out on stuff!  CV fields are essentially the same as basic camping which the majority of people use.  Although, you have the extra luxury of your campervan in CV fields of course with possibility of bringing lots of stuff with you as well as (depending on van) kitchens, comfy beds, own toilet, own shower (or ability to bring solar shower).  The only thing basic camping gets is some form of toilet and a water tap.

I'm not sure it's a fair to compare to any of the Glamping options where you get showers.  People are paying through the nose for those Glamping luxuries.

If comparing to other festivals, the sheer size of Glasto makes showers for all a logistical impossibility.

If you want to use a shower in CV at Glasto, aside from easily bringing a solar with you, CVer have the same access to the Greenpeace, etc, showers as all other attendees.

My comments are not meant as a dig, well a little bit, I’m just saying it how it is for first timers. The facilities are minimal, I think CV east is now the only part of the festival where portaloos are used, and they are your only choice and there aren’t enough of them and they aren’t cleaned often enough. Food provision is minimal. Nothing I’m saying isn’t correct.

Sooo my ticket is due to be delivered tomorrow, but when I check my camper van one, it says it’s not been dispatched…. (We had to do a name swap out of my mates as they were no longer able to attend) just like the rest, I’m starting to panic 😂😂

It’s probably in there with the GA tickets but if it isn’t I wouldn't worry, yet.

  14. CV east facilities are about 10 years behind the rest of the festival, bare essentials, over used and under cleaned turdices, no showers, minimal food provision.

fine if you are in a vehicle with facilities, not great if you aren’t.
