With the price of gigs these days, can you imagine what a Zep reunion stadium tour would/charge? It's admirable that they stick to their principles, they could probably make more money on one tour than in the whole of their careers
Jimmy Page is 80 and worth about 200 million. Plant similar albeit a youthful 75 years old.
Think they've fallen out over the whole thing anyway.

IMO giving first timers a tour is one of the best activities you can do at Glastonbury! Some of the reactions I've seen come as close to someone literally having their jaw on the floor as I think you get in life!
A fine line between being helpful and being a know-it-all pain in the hole though.
Those "DONT TURN AROUND" types you see on Wedneday up in the Park for example. Must be a nightmare spending 5 days with someone like that.

Post-pandemic ennui imo. Things just seem a little less special in general these days.
As opposed to wering masks and shouting at your neighbours across the garden?

if your in Hitchin, we'll keep an eye out for you - our staff camping is in the lower section of Hitchin - across the Pilton Bypass - well it was last year
Yeah give me a bell! Great you got sorted again.

The cineramageddeon was over that way before it was axed, but yeah now it’s just camping
Also I believe that whole area is a relatively recent addition to the festival, used to be just empty fields not all that long ago
Aha yeah, where they showed the football before.

South Park 1 is super quiet because it’s behind the trees, and lots of space even on Thursday afternoon
Quite a trek to Woodsies & Pyramid though if you typically spend a lot of time that way, and makes it an effort to pop back to the tent during the day for cans or to grab a jumper or whatever
Apart from a couple of years entering through Gate D I dont think Ive ever been over that side of the site. Nothing there but campsites right?
Im arriving and leaving at PGA Wednesday afternoon anyway so Hitchin Hill/Lime Kiln again.

Camped at Hitchen Hill last year, got a great spot Wednesday early afternoon. Probably won't go there again though as the noise from Silver Hayes was constant and I'm one of those people who needs a good few hours sleep every night. Any decent quieter spots anyone can recommend..?
Hitchen Hill and Lime Kiln are as quiet as campsites get.

"The show will feature well-known songs from ‘Play,’ but also a bunch of audience favourites, like Extreme Ways, We Are All Made Of Stars, When It's Cold I'd Like to Die, and even some old rave bangers like Feeling So Real and Go".
Solid.

Are there any other changes that we are expecting other than the beloved Rabbit Hole?
Keeping Carhenge?!
Surely they realised they make a bags of that

Nah, we came on the Wednesday, coach got to the site by around 11am and it was pissing it hard, I vividly remember me and my girlfriend looking out of the coach window as the heavens opened and talking about how we hoped it would blow over quickly. It was definitely the Wednesday, I have only ever gone to the festival on the Wednesday. And I'm not confusing it with another year as 2007 was the only year I've taken a coach.
Wednesday was absolutely beautiful in 07. Thursday morning too. Started raining late afternoon on the Thursday and didnt stop.

They're more suited to one of those "Forever Young" festivals imo. Never got them. Jarvis is a berk too.

I guess she'd have been on the poster if they'd managed to bag her.... but there's still a window of opportunity there.
Applying wishful thinking, maybe she wants to sell out her gigs in the area first?

Is she defo ruled out?

Only fest I've been to that rained a lot was 2007. 2016 didnt really rain too much. Was just muddy.

One of my friends hasn’t returned to Glastonbury since 2016 😅
It was her first and only one, so she doesn’t know any different. Shame for her really as she’s missing out (as we all know)
Ive a mate who was one-and-done after 2010!

Oh definitely the former. 2016 was an absolutely golden year.
Agree 100%.

This led to one of the great Daily Mail meltdowns. The recovery companies (RAC etc.) used diesel generators to charge the electric chargers for cars that had run out. Cue screams of "hypocrites!" and it being mentioned in every comments section about Glastonbury and green initiatives for months.
A lot of EVs dont move if they run out of battery. Cant be pushed or towed. Stuck in gear/park. Wouldnt fancy that at Glasto
In the mud.

I've always found The Paul Heaton Songbook doesn't get the respect it deserves overall. So many simple but great pop songs.
The gig up in the Acoustic the other year was an all timer. I went in lukewarm but it was banger after banger

I've seen Bank of Skulls a couple of times, always quite liked em despite the transparently obvious White Stripes ripoffness - i just think its a bit sus that the rest of the Pixies (or more likely, Black Francis and the guys who do as they're told for a quiet and fairly lucrative life) have to have a female bass player for balance, but that they dont want her to hang around for too long. Kim Deal is obvs my fave of the four, but they've all been cool
Well they need a female to sing.
Rumours she was kicked out because shes a right wing MAGA type nut. Loves that loon who president of Argentina.
LAWKS! It's the next announcement thread
