State of Grace and The Lakes personally but I’d take pretty much anything she’s played so far except Everything Has Changed or I Almost Do tbf

Great shout. Quite surprised State of Grace didn't actually make it in to the main set, even as a shortened version to open the Red portion similar to Style.

Night three in LA won the whole tour.. Death by A Thousand Cuts and You’re On Your Own Kid.. oof.. last night definitely in the running for second place though

The selection of songs she never played on the US leg takes in a whole range, from baffling (Epiphany) to understandable (Bigger Than The Whole Sky and London Boy). Absolutely brutal but fair that she never did Me! or End Game hahaha.

I actually don't mind ME! but the way she's absolutely murdered it is pretty hilarious. Endgame can get in the bin, although I did wake up a cold sweat last night thinking Ed might make an unwelcome appearance at the UK shows 😰

Now we've seen the full gamut of surprise songs, my choice for next summer would be New Romantics and You're On Your Own Kid. Holy Ground and New Year's Day would be my #2.

  3. Did last night win the battle of the surprise songs? New Romantics and New Year's Day is about as good as you're gonna get IMO. Absolute banger and one of her best ballads 😎

Pretty buzzing for this re-recording, mainly for the vault tracks. There's been some gems so far, but by and large it's been OK and what you'd expect. The 1989 vault tracks could be where it gets really interesting.

  4. Can anyone explain why this isn’t a staple of every f**king show? This is the best track off Midnights by a mile and easily my favourite clip from the entire tour. Make it so for the second leg Taylor.

Exile was pretty hilarious. If she does it again she needs to lean in to the crowd singing one of the parts. She started following Justin’s vocals then chopped and changed, she just needs to sing one line and let the audience do the other during the chorus and bridge.

Help! When I click join waiting room it just reloads the page!!

Is it working now? Sometimes it takes a few minutes for it to fire up. As long as you’re in 5 minutes or so before it’ll be fine

  6. The vip packages stink. I don’t have an issue with them in principle, if people want to spend that money then they’re free to do so, the issue here is they’ve released way too many of them at the expense of normal tickets and it’s making fans feel forced to buy them as a last resort. If you reduced the number of packages to just a smaller fraction and bumped up the number of standard tickets, this on sale would get a lot more praise from me for being fair and reasonable. The stupidly large amount of vip tickets sours it all.

Went in at queue position 5,077 for Liverpool and there was only VIP when i landed on the booking page..

Definitely feels like they flogged more tickets last week than this. 5,000 would have you got you non-VIP tickets last week I think?

Not to rub it in if anybody here is still trying to get tickets this week, but feeling very fortunate to have had the pre sale last week after today. Seeing lots of people claim it's basically just VIP packages left now, and even the low 1,000s in the queue being left with nothing but £600 packages.

Yeah that code was a god send. Certainly feels like the majority of tickets were shifted last week, which while that would be frustrating if you were in the general sale it has seemed to benefit the “true” fans.

Ohhh is there no golden circle standing for Anfield then? They were the ones I was aiming for (as unlikely as I may have been to actually get them!). Good to know not to go searching for them tomorrow then!

Yep no golden circle there. Perhaps the size of the stadium makes it a bit more fiddly? Not sure.

Those were the pics I posted but for Wembley, not Anfield! Only price I can recall explicitly was for L1 seats which I got - £160 each (£185 inc. fees).

I think there is an updated version of this somewhere but I can't find it, as this has a block of seat kills on the main stand in the wrong place - but price info accurate 👍🏻

Edit: and didn't it turn out to be that Anfield isn't having a golden circle? So in that case, this might be wrong on that front too!

Ah yes, sorry! Didn't see they were asking for Liverpool.

Sorry if I've missed it earlier in the thread but has anyone got a seating plan and pricing for Cardiff?

I'm a bit confused, I registered through Ticketmaster but received an email with code through AXS.  Which should I buy through or are they both the same? I'm obviously registered with TM but not with AXS. Apologies if this is a dumb question.

The email should say which ticket provider you've been allocated. If you have an AXS code, you'll have to use them.

Got a code for Liverpool. Do we know if they kept a proportion of tickets back or how many have been sold? Also is there a price list knocking about anywhere?

    Courtesy of @WestCountryGirl I believe!

Agree with your pessimism but difficult to know what from 1989 she’d deem essential to add. Unlike with Speak Now, all the big singles are already there. Definitely wouldn’t mind All You Had To Do Was Stay being added at the expense of one of the album tracks from Midnights though.

New Romantics and Clean would be my choice, but I wouldn’t really want to cut anything else!

So - with it sounding like nearly everyone is getting waitlist - does this mean that most of the tickets are already gone, or that there's a properly insane number of registrants, or some combination of those?

I didn't even register, given that it was announced and also closed while I was at Glastonbury. Didn't have a clue so thankful the pre-sale kicked in.

Colleague at work has been selected for Wembley and waist listed for the others. She didn't have a pre sale code. I imagine it's a combo of both..? Not seen anyone yet who got tickets during the sale and has also been selected again.

I read this as they’re not involving with giving out presale codes

Yeah I think that’s right. They’re saying the pre sale is nothing to do with them basically.

Be very interesting to see the demand when the general sale codes come out tomorrow

I didn’t actually register for the general sale for the U.K., I had my chips on Europe. But it’ll be interesting to see who here gets a general sale code after buying pre sale tickets.

Yeah its lots of fluff for nothing to get hits. I think overall these sales lucked out because the traffic never got too insane to still be able to get in eventually and buy. The verified sale still has a chance to be a shitshow since theres no indication how many people will get it.

This morning it went pretty well because you could tell there were people who were trying their code again and realizing it didnt work so the queue went much faster compared to Monday. And might hint as to how fewer people signed up for the free presale code compared to buying the album? As much as some of the swifties tried to think ahead last year they didnt take 30 seconds for backup.

Funny thing was Boygenius had presales this morning for some new fall dates in some big venues and there was more panic and stress from people overall than the midnights presale. Again, since no safeguards were put into place. Just the band publicly posting the password and even having platinum/dynamic activated so a pair of lower bowl seats at MSG went for $800 on average. And the clueless fanbase just buying up tickets or hoping prices drop in the piblic onsale.

I think for future tours with this demand, there’s a lot to be learned from how this was handled in the UK. The unique pre sale codes, staggered on sales, allocation of ticket sites, account linked tickets and limits per customer helped enormously. It’s rewarded the fans dedicated enough to be aware of the pre sale offer last year and it’s all been fairly civilised. No server overloads, no surge pricing and reasonable prices in the context of the market have all been pleasant surprises. The main issues seemed to be on the tech side with the anti-bot stuff, but the demand being managed so carefully worked really well. Next week may well be a sh*t show, it depends how many codes they send out vs tickets left, but after Paris you’d hope they’ve learned that lesson.

Curious why they seemingly went the extra mile in the UK though? Expecting the demand to be particularly high vs the number of tickets?

That piece is a load of nonsense right out the gate. I don’t think the queue was ever “hundred-thousand-deep”, tickets went as cheap as £60 and the VIP options weren’t compulsory. The queue for the final Wembley show yesterday was almost non-existent - I logged in 10 minutes after the sale started and could have bought any category ticket (and did grab a £60 one for a great seat).

They’ve had that piece in mind and just written it despite the reality of this week’s ticket sale. I’m all for holding acts/ticket sites/the industry to account on this stuff and the VIP packages are worth criticising, but writing a piece that’s immediately full of nonsense isn’t going to get your point across. Just the same as the Guardian piece earlier in the week. There’s a story to write about this and the wider industry, but that ain’t it.

Does anybody know any sites where I can get the money for tickets straight away? I’ve got 2 standing tickets for Edinburgh for sale. I managed to get 2 for Liverpool which was my preferred choice as I live in Manchester so could do with getting the money back for them ASAP. If anybody on here wants them I’m happy to give out my personal social media so you can see I’m legit. Any help appreciated

It looks like tickets will have the lead booker named on them and they are saying (which might not be the reality) that they’ll check ID, so you’ll have to go through official resale process. Not sure anything has been announced yet though, so you might have to wait until the main sale is finished next week unfortunately.

They're definitely showing OK in the account - it was an AXS issue so had to spin up a new account on the fly to check them out.

But now wondering if I can try for another 4 on the original email address if I get a Verified link.

I’m not sure on that. I dunno if we have clarity over whether the 4 per household carries over. Might have to wait and see there. If it does refresh then yeah I think you’d be able to crack on and buy more tickets.

  21. 6 minutes ago, CaledonianGonzo said:

I had to create a brand new AXS to checkout, so despite the fact I entered the sale using the correct email address and with the code that was issued to me, the tickets are against a new email address.

Could this throw a spanner in the works, or no need to worry?

Hmm that’s a tricky one. I’d be inclined to think since you’ve got the tickets in your account, it might not matter now? I think the point about accounts and emails was to actually access the sale. Now you’ve got the tickets, they’ll be linked to your new account and you shouldn’t need to provide an email again, it’ll just be a mobile ticket.
