You ever been to Tauron Nowa Muzyka ?
No

Fever Ray at Tauron Nowa Muzyka and Kendrick Lamar at Krakow Live Festival – both can be ruled out from Open'er.
-
Migos at Open'er. I guess shitty bands announcements must have finally come, but it sucks anyway.

I'd love to have Jack White at Open'er, but the only possbile date is 6th July, a day before Rock Werchter. It is believed that JW is coming to Poland only in autumn.

Been there in 2017. Something changed in Polish law? Cause there was no problem with taking beer outside. Unlike my previous Open'ers (2014 and 2015)
As far as I know there weren't any changes, so either you were lucky or you were drinking low-alcohol beers, cause these are allowed (up to 3,5% I guess). I remember I was stopped several times too last year.

Thanks for answering=) Been to Gdansk before and liked it. When do tickets generally sell out?
Never I think it happened only twice and these were one-day tickets (e.g. in 2016 when RHCP headlined), so you don't have to worry about it.

Thanks for the info. Shame about the drinking areas;) On the other hand the atmosphere is more important for me so I'm glad that the crowd is good.
These drinking areas are required by law, so there's nothing the festival can do about it. The crowd is really good, it is really close to the sea (5 minutes by bus and then 5 minuts on foot), so you can relax on the beach before gigs. Also, if you have enough time, you can visit Gdańsk and Sopot, which are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland. If you have any further questions, I'll be glad to help you.

I'd say Nick Cave or The Killers are the most safe bet.
Nick Cave didn't headline in 2013, so I really doubt he will headline now. The Killers are probable, but all signs point to Arctic Monkeys.

Been a while since we heard anything any idea when the next bands will be announced?
I bet we'll get some new names next week. Either Arcitc Monkeys as a headliner or several smaller names.

Looks like Jack White can be ruled out as the Wednesday headliner;
- June 27: Hammersmith Apollo, London
- June 28: Hammersmith Apollo, London
- July 2: AFAS Live, Amsterdam
- July 3: L'Olympia, Paris
- July 4: L'Olympia, Paris
There was an Open'er announcement this time last year, maybe we'll get something tomorrow/Thurs...
What a pity! Arctic Monkeys getting more and more probable.

Did anyone see the video Open'er posted on Facebook of bands saying merry Christmas, do you think these could be playing this year only bands I can remember where Two Door Cinema Club & Kodaline there where others but with out rewatching I can't remember
These band were playing some Polish festivals in 2017 which were organized by Alter Art (Open'er promotor) and that's why they appeared in the film.

Interpol, Goldfrapp, Ride, Editors, Slowdive, and The Twilight Sad all playing London the weekend of Open'er (first announced July 2018 Euro show's for these bands)
I'd take them all if it protects us from the likes of Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Tyga and so on

QOTSA in Warsaw 19th June 2018, so they can be definitely ruled out from Open'er.
-
David Byrne and Fleet Foxes really great additions! Hopefully, Byrne won't clash with Massive Attack or Depeche Mode.
-
Great announcement! And they are not headliners, that's impressive. I think they will play after DM.

I was thinking the same.
Worth noting also that google translate says 'Tomorrow Santa starts to work at 12:00' which may mean there will be many acts released over the afternoon, perhaps smaller acts and not the 4th headliner (which would make more sense if it's INmusic announcement related as I doubt they would share a headliner)
I can confirm that in Polish version it looks the same Also, I don't remember any Open'er edition when we already knew all 4 headliners in December. However, the perfect situation would be: 12:00 - headliner and then some smaller acts each hour (not happening for sure ;))

LCD Soundsystem and Tyler creator at OWF as well.

Taking place the week before, Arcade Fire are a possibility now;
I guess it's two weeks before Open'er (4-7.07)

There is some activity on Open'er instagram which looks like a teaser for another clip announcing 3rd headliner. Also, there are some rumors that Depeche Mode can headline Open'er 2018, but since they have 3 upcoming gigs in Poland in February, we shouldn't expect them being announced until then. So, maybe finally QOTSA today?

Billy Joel, June 30 - Hamburg. https://www.ticketmaster.de/artist/billy-joel-tickets/1595?camefrom=de_zanox
Is he Open'er material?
Given the fact that with every year Open'er is turning to much more younger audience, I'd be very, very surprised.

Given that Liam G is playing London the same weekend as Open'er, I think it's pretty likely he'll show up. Question is, is he headline material in Poland? Personally I sure hope not (and would prefer his brother), but Liam does seem to be on some kind of a roll at the moment...
He’s definitely not a headliner material in Poland. In 2015, Noel was playing Orange Warsaw Festival and he was not treated as a headliner, given the font size on the poster (http ://rok.kiev.ua/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/2015-poster.jpg). And since Orange Warsaw is much smaller than Open’er, I’m pretty sure that neither Noel nor Liam would headline in Gdynia.

Bruno Mars is the second headliner of the festival. It's so disappointing, but it could have been predicted.

The perfect (and possible) set of headliners for me:
QOTSA
Pearl Jam
Arcade Fire
GorillazBut, unfortunately, I guess that one (or two) headliner will be a pop or hip-hop act.
Apart from that, I hope for Robert Plant, Kamasi Washington, Beck, The National, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, BADBADNOTGOOD, The War on Drugs, Kings of Convenience, to name just a few I think that the above are possible acts since almost all of them either released new albums recently or are going to do it before next summer.
Just 3 more to go!
