    Taylor Swift isn't playing.

    I am gutted she is not playing, I am a closet fan of hers (I am a 34 year old man) I love shake it off. But also it will be great for v in general somebody different and a big statement to have a female act subbing or headlining. I think v have missed a trick there

    Ballot? Works for Wimbledon, the Olympics, rugby world cup etc.

    Well said. I totally I agree with a ballot system plus I did not know that you go up to 6 tickets it should be max of four like the other events or maybe only can buy two tickets. It is the fairest well then ever one has a chance to go. but I think it will not go down to well as it people will say it is to copored way of doing it.

    Maroon 5's european tour ends mid-June so that's them ruled out (again)

    That is surely good news! As they would have probably end up subbing or headlining. I think they are not a bad band but I think their are so overrated compare to some british bands. Ps I like jake bugg well his music anyway.

    THE ANNUAL POINTLESS SURVEYS ARE OUT

    I went Prince, Take That, Adele//Franz Ferdinand, Macklemore, Paramore, Frank Turner, Haim, F&TM, Goldfrapp, McFly//Janelle Monae, Kaiser Chiefs, JT, The Wailers, Newton Faulkner. :(

    That would be amazing line up and you do have a great taste in music apart from take that sorry.

    Or V being Roman number for 5, but with V being V they will probably think its a sign for the booking :P

    I bloody hope not I will not be happy, sorry but I think they are fairly average band who are so overrated.

    No doubt her album will sell bucket loads as they a lot of people who really like her sort of music (I will not stereotype the type of people it is). The album will probably be rubbish although but I might give it a listen

    Surely swiftly to headline! I not that big of fan of her music but I can see her doing the pop headline act next year. I could be wrong? Deep down I hope I am wrong as I prefer Kyle to be the headliner as she seems to put on a great show and has a massive back catalogue of hits

    It will be a great idea to included some acts they played the first one big or small acts it will be a nice touch. And they could call it the spirt of 96. But I do not want kanye to headline it will probably he will not care every much just do it for the money. I think british artists or Australia artists will care more and want to put on a show. Sorry but rant over.

    Well said daniel. I could not agree with you more as people moan about the atmosphere at v festival, I am a bit thick? but it is not the v festival organizers fault as you can do anything about but encourage people which they did by saying bring the vibe! Rant over

    The people were so much better this year compare to two years ago when I get piss throw on me three yes three times and saw a fight as well! The only bad thing was someone being sick when the chiefs were on but apart from that nothing and I found people friendly and managed to have a chat with them.

    I want Kyle to as the customarily pop headliner and mumfords or pulp to be the guitar/indie or folk headliner. I think that would be amazing for next year. I hope I do not get some stick for my suggestions

    I hope it stays at Weston park as I think it is a great venue to have a festival. Nice campsite with some tress around and the arena area is about the right size with the main stage down the slope so you can see it from the back. And oh not to far for me to travel from devon! it does go somewhere else I will miss the place

    Weston park under capacity and down on numbers bull shit! But I do agree with you on there should be more food stores especially in the v heathly area and the program should be free but I am not complaining about the live music on show this year so many good acts especially chic and human league my two fave sets at a festival ever !

    My fave V festival ever ( I have been to five) over the weekend I saw 18 acts and 17 ever either good or amazing. The acts I thought were amazing were

    human league, kaiser cheifs, manics, embrace, elbow and chic which is now my fave gig/set of all time!

    Conversely it does not bother me it has not sell out this year, as they will be more places to pitch my tent and less Queues for drink/food/toilets etc. But you are all right this year headliners are terrible killers again and jt who can be a bit hit or miss. After seeing Kyle close the commonwealth games which was amazing she has be a least asked by the v festival booking team to headline next year ( I can dream)

    I am off to Weston lorretta alone as well plus I will have come all the way from devon! I went a few times in the past last time on my own and enjoyed the amtosphere and of course the music which you can see who you want with out people nagging you
