True but they changed owners since 2016 right?
Also, Sigur Ros and M83 as first announcement beats any Eminem for me

I would say that they're still waiting on a particular name rather than struggling with headliners at all. Even if they had only 1 or 2 signed they would have been announced. Let's say they have Liam Gallagher - Bon Iver - Calvin Harris as headliners, maybe they want to add... Eminem? and make a big splash of an announcement.

What's interesting is that RHCP announced Frusciante coming back somewhere around the 15th of December.
Could it be RHCP because Frusciante's return? I guess we'll find out soon.
Maybe they cancelled the RHCP dates that weren't announced and are replacing them with a band from their record label or something?

I'm sure Sziget can get 2 as "big headliners" for that stage!
for reference, John Digweed (600k likes on FB) played there (twice i think); also The Martinez Brothers (600k).
Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens have ~900k, and could be a step-up to that (really popular) stage.
Realistically, we could have Floating Points (120k), Adriatique (200k) or a Dixon comeback (400k).
But Boris Brejcha, Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer and Carl Cox are far with 1M+ (they could play A38).

Regarding The Killers, well, they've been already several times on the Island of Freedom, meanwhile RHCP never were. I would like to see both bands at Sziget too, but if I'd have to choose between these 3 as an organizer, I'd choose the Peppers.
I would love to see this too! It would be a welcome present actually for those that weren't patient.
Oh yeah I wasn't talking about ticket sales. But i already like the 2 new songs (live) of The Strokes so I really want to see them this summer 😕
Arcade Fire would be my top pick
but I agree that RHCP would sell the most!
and The Killers would be a good headliner for day 1 or 7... opening or closing the festival with Mr Brightside ❤️

Imagine they do a full line-up drop a la Primavera or Glastonbury! That would be cool.

It's definitely not the same as Europe! I'd say that I prefer smaller European festivals (Bilbao, Best Kept Secret etc.) to the bigger ones here.
But I had fun last year there... I was a volunteer so I didn't pay a cent yetmanaged to see my favorite bands

I agree, nothing to justify a 3 days pass but as acts i'd have seen Kraftwerk, David August, Yaeji and Britanny Howard on sat!

Bigger numbers than I thought! But I guess it's easier to watch a headliner at Sziget than.. Primavera or Glastonbury.
and it's nice, I would never pay to see a lot of the headliners I saw (like Korn, Robbie Williams...) but some of them were nice surprises.

Also, one of the best decision of my sziget experience was to go see Buika (!!!) instead of Rihanna. Anyone was there? We were not a lot...

And crazy people climbing on a38 pillars during Bloody Beetroots, so they had to shutdown the music for a while.

oh woww! you took a risk with Stromae.. with just went there earlier and caught Bonobo's set -great as well!
Infected Mushroom was 2015 I think,
but really M83 surpasses all... hard to describe the experience/ emotions!

and so many others... Stromae was the most packed concert of my life haha! Bloody Beetroots maybe the most intense... Infected Mushroom my first electro-moshpit... woo so many memories!

Muse who were great as well I thought btw, but different crowds!
